The Horchata Crew’s 2012 30

| December 4, 2012 | 0 Comments

This year was fun especially since my HC writer, Joseph Noblit, joined me in the challenge.  We created a new set, very different from my superheroes from last year.  A lot of technical problems occured, but I was able to have it done all by the end of the month.  A ton of learning happened while creating these pretty people and I really hope I can move forward with their corresponding stories.   I really enjoyed seeing everyone’s work and hope that we’ll have a more exciting challenge next year~!

#23: Samantha and Imogen the Hostesses

Like the other restaurant character, these are based off of friends of my writer.  These are their actual personalities, more like the female version of the twin hosts from Ouran High School Host Club…

This is one of the characters my writer created for a restaurant story he made.  Amanda’s based off of one of his college friends.

#14: Jason Tanaka

| November 24, 2012 | 0 Comments

Julia and Martin Tanaka decided to adopt after finding out that Julia could not have children.  They found Jason at the  local orphanage and fell in love with him.  He was only 6 when he became a member of this unique family.  He is a very chill dude and isn’t surprised by a lot of things.  Though his parents tend to have busy schedules, they make time to spend with Jason and as a family.  He first picked up the trumpet after hearing his (adopted) grandfather play at a small concert.

She is a very tough cookie.  Her relationship with Sirius had a very rough start, but the two ended up settling down thanks to the kids.  Her middle name was her grandmother’s.

#12: Sirius Thomas Pearl

| November 23, 2012 | 0 Comments

Sirius Thomas Pearl is not his real name.  He took his wife’s last name and also chose his first name after the star.  He’s not an ordinary pilot.

He is more reserved compared to the rest of his family.  Like his sister, he looks similar to his mother compared to his father.

She belongs to the same story as Derrik.  She, her brother and father have similar differences though she looks a lot like her mother.

#09: Derrik Bowen

I’ve been working on his story for a couple of days, but he has a secret which makes him very different compared to his fellow classmates.  His favorite subject is Physics and he wants to become a pilot.

#08: Kristoph Grimalda

He’s the gentle (human) giant who takes care of the group.  He’s the main cook while also being the tank.  He has wears a hybrid of leather and branded mail armor.  Most of the scars on his face were due to accidents.

I would consider her as the rogue of  the mythical team.  She is human and rarely shows her soft side.

#06: Mae Creber

| November 6, 2012 | 0 Comments

Mae is a tough cookie with a soft heart.  The tattoos she has are the Greek medical symbol with the two snakes with wings spiraling around the rod on the back side of her neck and various stitches tattoos around her body.  Even though her family has been involved in medicine for a long time, it took her some time to realize that this was what she wanted to do.  Her fiancee is an EMT.

#05 : Edco Dorr

This sylph’s personality was based off of the “Chick” TV trope.  He is a highly skilled sorcerer, but is needed mainly as the team medic.  He is a stubborn one and personally likes to appear without his makeup and show his sylph birthmarks.  The breeze that follows him tend to have a pleasant fragrance.

#04: Lucille “Luc” Welsh

| November 6, 2012 | 0 Comments

One of my stories feature an elite group of researchers and innovators.  Years ago I created Dr. Welsh, but never Mrs. Welsh.  To tell you the truth, she has a tragic ending.  There’s really no spoilers in that since that’s when the story starts.  Still, even though she’s not there physically, Mrs. Welsh has a big role.

#02 – The Wandering Heir

| November 3, 2012 | 0 Comments

The Wandering Heir is a ghost who is trapped in the land he haunts.  He was the oldest son of the founder of a business empire.  His death is a mystery and he wishes that no one ends up in the same situation.  He is a benevolent spirit.

Pan-Pan

Though this year’s challenge I’m working with my writer, this character was a solo creation by me and suggestion from a friend of a friend.  She suggested me to create a character based off of the animal, the panda.  I was inspired by a college friend who tends to wear very fashionable items, another friend who part of her name is Pamela’s, and the original “Panda Hero” music video.  I’d say she is chaotic neutral since she both works with and against the law.  Even though in reality she stands out, Pamela does her best to hide herself virtually.  Pan-Pan de Kumba is her “code name.”
