Day 14: Shuttle-Monkey
most primates have only been in space one… Shuttle-Monkey? Man he’s in space more often than not!
Day 14: Rebel Captain
Back to the Demonstar pieces. This guy is one of 6 player pieces for my WIP, 3D print-and-play board game. The pixel-art below is by my insanely talented brother, Cameron Croft.
Day 6: Separatist Contractor
Another player piece for my WIP, 3D print-and-play board game, Demonstar.
Star Crasher
Star Crasher is a hi-speed multi-system wanderer, capable of blowing his way through a star (or planet for that matter- which makes him a threat to anyone who knows what he can do!). He is making his way from system to system looking for any evidence of what happened to the Scarlett Legion- the unit he was assigned to when they were attacked. During the battle he was knocked unconscious and has no memory of who attacked and what happened.
Day 3: Privateer Commando
Finally got my printer up and running again! As such, I should have 3D prints of these guys from here on out. The pieces are pretty small (about 20mm tall) so a lot of the detail won’t show through, but they’re serviceable boardgame pieces at this size to be sure.
#24 Clem: The Human Turned Alien Via Evolution
Second grade girl explains space aliens:
Day Nine: Space Piratex
Space, that was the dream. Space — the place children (our future) all across her country had lived for, before they discovered reality TV in their teen years, the place though which ufological wonks of all ages had wanted to drift.
The actual place was less majestic than the men and women of science-based television programing had promised and closer to an afternoon floating with the refuse of a billion people in the waves of a Lama Island beach in a waning Summer.
The Space Piratex probe didn’t mind, for a start she’d never been to any of Lama Island’s waste-disposal beaches and so was unable to see the sad similarity. No, an enterprising class of public school over-achievers hadn’t built her to despair at the state of the space, Space Piratex had been built to win that class the finals of the “Sweep It Under the Rug: Environmental Solutions” competition. Her directives were clear: clean, clean that cosmos up long enough to get her masters a photo in three of their local papers. It was a task she probably could have completed too, if it weren’t for those attention lacking kids and their rudimentary android building skill sets.

#17 Mad Cow

#9 – Beddesh Ajaki
So far in the future that the human mind cannot readily conceive of it, the universe will be largely empty. The hotter, larger stars will burn out, the galaxies will slowly depopulate, and all that will be left will be the black holes and the red dwarfs.
Known by astronomers to be the longest-lived of all stars, red dwarfs potentially have lifespans that are longer than the current age of the universe. When this universe ends, they’ll be the last to go.
Whatever intelligent life still exists at this time will likely cluster around these stars, building amazing structures to catch every last bit of solar energy they can in a desperate bid to sustain their civilizations just that much longer. But as long-lived as these stars are, they’re not immortal. One day, even the red dwarfs will fail.
The star known as Alpha Aurelius has hosted a human civilization for thousands of years. The star is surrounded by a technological basketwork of energy collectors and residences. People from hundreds of worlds journeyed there with the hope of making a better life. Beddesh Ajaki is one of eleven administrators of Aurelius, and is an expert in navigating the byzantine bureaucracy that has emerged in an attempt to fight the certainty of existential extinction.
When the Nightfinder arrives from the now-extinct Delta-b Cygnus and asks to join them, Ajaki makes sure that the ship and its residents are welcomed with open arms. However, he manages to withhold one very important secret from them until it is too late….
#8 – Atris Parkell

But as long-lived as these stars are, they’re not immortal. One day, even the red dwarfs will fail.
The star Delta-b Cygnus hosted a large and busy civilization, long-descended from humans. When its starkeepers decided that its life was at an end, they set loose the diaspora. Ships left in all directions, each one hoping that they would somehow come across another inhabited star somewhere in the vast, empty universe.
Atris Parkell captains the Nightfinder, a legacy ship that spent years journeying through trans-luminal space to find a new home. They finally found Alpha Aurelius, a star trapped in a web of advanced technology. The residents of Aurelius were more than happy to take in the travelers, but they did so without revealing some very important information…
Day 4 LimeLite
Day 4 of the 30 Characters challenge. Trying to catch up here’s LimeLite! LimeLite is leader of the “Bling Brigade” and is always at odds with our more grass roots Hip Hop protagonists…Â whom i have mostly yet to create lol 😉 gettin there! He has the power of illumination. He blinds his opponents and bewildering them temporarily. He also can send light charges from his hands as offensive moves or use them to propel him further and faster than he can naturally run or jump.
Thanks for Checkin in! More updates to come throughout the weekend.

#6 Captain Wristblaster and the Psychotic Super-Brain
The battle seemed to have gone on for as long as he could remember. As he rose, once more, from the smoldering crater, another hole blasted out of this meteoric trash heap bulleting towards the exploding star, he wondered how many more hits like that he could take. And how much more time there was to take them. The child, swollen large with energy, once more raised it’s fists in concentration and hatred, and the machine responded, it’s grip on the meta-blaster tightening, as the needle again sparked and smoked in anticipation of another destructive blast.
Day 3 “Stick Up Kid”
Here’s # 3 entry for the 30 Characters challenge. I’ve had this idea for a character for a few days now and have been having a tough time settling on any one sketch. I’m not even 100% sure of this one but it’s much closer to what I intended.
These characters will all have a somewhat Hip Hop theme and will take place on earth and in space with a graffiti/underground comic cartoon style. I’m kind of doing a lot of copying of style at this point but I hope to arrive on a style I can call my own eventually.
Thanks for Checkin in! More updates to come throughout the weekend.

#18 Rex, Assassin
An interstellar bounty-hunter, and assassin of the stars, Rex quickly made a name for herself by assassinating the ruler of Gamma 5; a celebrated leader who was one of the first alien dignitaries to be in favor of human settlement on foreign planets.
Willing to put an end to anything, anywhere, Rex is an elite killer specializing in Muy Thai, Jui Jiusu, edged weapons, and nearly every firearm imaginable. She began her career shortly after the destruction of the moon, (some attribute the moon disaster to her, for her paid killing spree was initiated soon thereafter.)
Her short-jump, fast-attack craft, Zombie, has been to worlds uncharted by humans, and the only other crew than herself: her genetically enhanced, giant, albino Great Dane, Marley. While Rex enjoys men on a flavor-of-the-month basis, Marley does not care for them.
Before her life of crime and his initiation into the Colonial Marines, Rex and Gavin Laurent were something of an item…
#17 Amber X, Marine Scout
Even Amber isn’t sure what her last name is. When she was given the choice of incarceration or service in the colonial marines, she chose the later, having spent her formative years in and out of mental institutions (only slightly better than prison).
Amber is the loner of the Vega 7 platoon, headed by Gavin Laurent, something ideal for her role as scout. Often spending long stretches of time in a solo craft or space-walking, Amber has the tendency to unnerve those around her, for she rarely speaks.
“No question about it, the girl’s batshit crazy. No better scout around, though, and in a fight, my money’s on her nine out of ten times. ” –Gavin Laurent
#16 Amanda Davenshaw, scientist
Being assigned to the exploratory vessel Vega 7 was both a dream and a curse for Amanda. Her life as a Sol scientist had been rather uneventful, after all, what was there left to explore in our solar system? So she leapt at the chance to be lead scientist on a marine charting vessel.
When her first outer system jump landed her and the marines assigned to her vessel in a Lovecraftian nightmare, she quickly understood why the marine brass insisted on all personnel carrying lasers, and emergency flight suit training…
********************
Some might call this one cheating as it was a con commission sketch, but the gent had me do a “retro space girl”. I had a backstory already planned for something of the sort and with a few modificatons she fit the bill perfectly.
#3. Space Pirate Alustar!
Self-proclaimed “space pirate†Alustar Aralune is the commander of the Havoc Queen, a freight-class vessel named after Alustar’s long-lost love. Drifting through space looking for exotic space!treasure, Alustar has made a name for himself as a reckless and brave captain. He has made as many enemies as friends in his long career. He also has an extremely high opinion of himself.
That’s where the “self-proclaimed” part comes in: Alustar is not really a pirate, and his past heroism is largely imagined. He is in fact a traveling junk dealer and scavenger. The Havoc Queen is not a grand pirate ship. It is in fact a run-down cargo cruiser that is both cheap and hard to maintain. The Queen is crewed by the Howitzer Twins: zealously loyal navigator Tanis and occasionally loyal engineer Sylas. Now Alustar is in search of the greatest treasure he can think of: the original Havoc Queen herself, Alustar’s fugitive ex.
Odi’ave
The deceptively lethal intergalactic bounty hunter, Odi’ave is only given away by his armor. He lulls his targets with his pleasant demeanor and not so intimidating features. After living a relatively peaceful life in the Nebulon system, Odi’ave decided to spruce things up, and what better way than to purchase a star runner, a photon pistol, and head to space to chase down bounty’s for the Inner Rim.
