NAME: Lumpy Holger  SPECIES: Human (Mutated)  ORIGIN: Tunnelworld
Hailing from the surface wastes of Eden Prime (known colloquially as “Tunnelworld”), Lumpy suffers from a degenerative disease, a result of his prolonged exposure to the engineered mutagens plaguing his home environment. With little time left on the clock before he expires, Lumpy has come to nexus city seeking one last bounty.

11/18/2012: Specimen 16, Olimyoo Legionnaire
NAME: Specimen 16  SPECIES: Olimyoo  ORIGIN: Pakinare
A member of the infamous “Centurion” program, Specimen 16 has sown destruction throughout the Multiverse in the name of the Children of Tartarus. Plucked from his peaceful home world as a youth, his great size and strength catching the interest of a Tartaran overlord, Specimen 16 took to the indoctrination quickly, his will broken and body transformed into a nigh-unstoppable war machine. Over the years, as his body became damaged, the Tartarans saw to its reconstruction. When the Tartaran Empire fell, with no master to control him, Specimen 16 went ronin. Though his skills of death-dealing are now for hire, he holds tightly to his final orders, vowing some day to murder the Lost Agency and their allies in the name of Tartarus.

#12 The Tar-tle
This beast of Tar was once a normal tortoise at least it was until it was challenged to a race by a rabbit…. the foolish rabbit was so far ahead that it decided to take a nap as the slow tortoise was so much slower and so far behind… the tortoise however never stopped and as the rabbit slept…. it took the lead and actually won the foot race…. unfortunately this Rabbit was actually a vindictive god in disguise… he had no humor for losing to a tortoise and transformed it into an immortal beast made of tar… unable to ever beat another animal in another foot race ever again.
#10 Broccula
Doubly frightening to children at supper time everywhere… this horrible beast plays on two childhood fears… Vampires and having to eat all of your Broccoli.
11/17/2012: Blisterbelch, Troll Tyrant
NAME: Blisterbelch  SPECIES: Mountain Troll  ORIGIN: Jotunheim
Considered small by Jotun standards, in the mountains of Jotunheim, Blisterbelch was a hermit and a scavenger, living off of the spoils of his greater brethren, mountain goats, or the occasional Midgardian foolish enough to climb the path into the land of the giants. After the Red King crisis, Blisterbelch fled the Techno-Sovereignty, taking refuge in Nexus City. There, he found himself to be a true giant, his tall stature, vast strength and fiery breath causing all in his path to tremble with fear. After several travelers found their way into his belly, Circle Securities apprehended Blisterbelch, banishing him to Dark 22, a secret Circle-Tech sponsored prison colony on a Terran compatible world cast in eternal night. There, Blisterbelch quickly rose to power, the other inmates treating him like a king. Those few who don’t end up in his stomach, their bones littering the floor around his “Throne of Skulls.”

Blarg 2/30
Pretty much the gnarliest thing I could think of. This was actually for a creature contest my friend was running earlier this month, but whatever. Still came up with it in November 2012.
Day Eleven: Ardent Way
It had all lead to this, she’d put in a hell of a lot of effort to get this far, the odds had been far out of her favor and yet she had triumphed. A cup of coffee, altogether too hot and sweet, was hers. Triumph.
The darting eyes of waiters under thick black hair and too much pressure from the obnoxious American canoe competition team on table four had not looked her way, the steaming pots of cheap coffee and weak tea poured by without ever diverting in their path to her table but still she had triumphed over the odds. With a cunning combination of feminine charm and obstinate determination that comes from paying a ludicrous fee for the breakfast buffet she had broken through the ranks of waiting staff to her goal: the coffee. Kind of a shame that it tasted so awful.

#8 Zebra-Corn
When most people hear “Zebra-Corn” they maybe picture a regal unicorn like beast with a single horn and zebra stripes… But it’s actually something far less regal with a horrible reputation for how it “stalks” its prey.
11/08/2012: Molg, Ginza Hive Soldier
The primitive warrior race known as the Ginza are from a lonely star system on the farthest ring of Esrah’s Belt. Uplifted from a stone-age civilization to work as bodyguards and hired killers, many Ginza have found their way to Nexus city as part of a merchant or noble’s retinue. Though compact and relatively clumsy, the Ginza are incredibly strong, their deadly beaks able to cut through flesh, bone, and carapace with ease. Ginza bites have even been purported to bypass power armor on more than one occasion. If there is one downside to the utilizing the Ginza as retainers, it is their willful stubbornness. Matched with a level of intelligence bordering on non-sapience, the Ginza can become easily confused and, once a notion is in their head, there’s no dissuading them from it.

#07 – Hype Eater
Lies. They bend reality, run roughshod over time, and give the Almighty a rip-roarin’ headache. Fortunately, the Hype Eater exists. A meta-carrion creature drifting in from a technicolor hellscape, the dross of the sentient mind is its favorite food. It cruises along the edges at an acute angle to reality, feeding off of our lies, advertising, hype, spin and bullshit. Delicious.
It has a symbiotic relationship with the mysterious emissaries it secretes in search of the newest hype. They are fully sentient beings from our point of view, but to the Hype Eater they are more like bacteria; the prevailing theory is that they act as a sort of extensible immune system, while the Hype Eater itself protects them other primeval Devourers lurking outside of time.
The Hype Eater is visible to voyagers on certain psychedelic chemical cocktails, but is most often glimpsed at the edges of consciousness by sleep-deprived, overworked copywriters and designers, who sense the pulsing intelligence feeding off of them as they desperately struggle to put a shiny patina of beauty and craft onto  marketing claims both banal and audacious.
