Day 10 – The Mooncalf
Mooncalf:Â an idle daydreamer, fool or dolt from around 1555 England. I latched onto the expression from the W.C. Field movie “The Bank Dick” (1940) and decided to explore the word in this form. “Cows in Space” coming soon!!!
Day 5 – Samurai Tiger
I sketched this guy out while sitting in the doctor’s waiting room today = plenty of time to kill. I think I love drawing anthropomorphs more than anything else. I know things like this have been done before but one of those ideas I had to explore as I love Japanese armor and culture, the bushido way.
Day 2 – Baron Cavanaugh
Baron Cavanaugh de Montague e Leon – 1797 – who fought in the Napoleonic Wars. I love reproducing period costumes and this model came from an intact uniform worn by one of Napoleon’s generals dating from around 1800. This character was inspired by a costume that I made last year but never got to finish due to illness. Thought I would realize the concept here..
Post#5 — Foxy Dream: Here is a cute anthropomorphic cartoon girl. I was considering using this character as the start of a series of characters (complete with a fox boy friend and a bunny girl friend), but haven’t really created a background of cartoon universe for them to exist in as yet. Maybe this is something to think of for next year’s challenge.
If the readers here saw my art last year then you know I am into foxes. So here’s a warning that Foxy Dream is the first of three fox-related characters.
