#8 Son of Khan
Son of Khan
To much of the world, Genghis Khan was an evil warlord and the catalyst of wars that nearly destroyed entire cultures throughout Asia. For some people, including many in Mongolia, he was a great leader that united disparate tribes and brought education, direction and cohesion to a divided people. But however one looks at it, in his life Genghis Khan conquered more territory than Alexander the Great or the Romans. Young Kublai Dagvadorj dreams to be the next great hero to his native country of Mongolia. He honors the great Khan, and brings a code of honor and a brutal style of combat to protect his people as best he can.
#2 – The Scarlet Fiend
This is a new hero for my roster. She prefers being in her full body suit due to her skin “condition.” Working on more details.
#8-Jet Disco-20 years later
Jet always knew he was special. He just thought it was something that he had to create. And growing up with no chance at being special at pleasant, worthwhile things, Jet became the biggest drug dealer in Verde City. He thought it’s be easier anyways, and it often was. Over the years he had found himself in many tough situations, especially after the rise of the Pusherman, that he thought he had just narrowly escaped with luck, but it turns out it was all skill, and it finally hit him full force. And with his new power he did what he could to prove to everyone he was special, spread his tyranny as far as he could, killing and enslaving at his will. After all he’s special, apparently the most special of all, shouldn’t that be what he should be? Ruler? God? Destroyer? He’s currently leaning towards Destroyer, what with being trapped in a the Elite Force’s special containment bubble under miles of Earth. He will make them pay for this, especially him.
Not a big fan of my sketch for today, but it’s my first night to relax in days so I was kind of quick about it. Enjoy the little description at least. And I don’t have a power set in mind for Jet. Just strong and fast at this point, a little Akira tribute maybe, who knows?
#8 | Lance L’Amour
LANCE L’AMOUR: Entertainer; Club Owner; Information broker
– – – – –
I got behind by several days, but have managed to catch back up for today.
GRIDIRON
Ex football star whose career was cut short by injuries. Used his career earnings to finance experiments which gave him superhuman abilities. Protects his city now instead of his quarterback!
#8 Miss-American
Another goofy character from a ridiculous story I am working on. This is one disappearing act you might wish would never be invisible, Miss-American:
She started off as Miss Kansas and then went on to win Miss American. Her stunning smile and chilling performance of “God Bless America†hooted beautifully on an old jug made her an easy winner. Sunny and ever optimistic, Sandy Stillwell came from a family of overachievers. Specializing in the sciences of agriculture and technology, the Stillwell’s were wealthy, wise, and wonderful. Struggling with a touch of jealousy, Sandy’s younger sister Sally excelled the most in the area of high-tech science and development. Just arriving home from her Miss American tour, Sandy was horrified to see her family’s homestead in the country ablaze. She immediately called 911 and then went in looking for survivors. Reaching Sally while she still had a few last breaths, Sally revealed that masked men had broken in looking for her latest device’s schematics. The men made off with them successfully, but failed to acquire the device for which they were drawn. The size and shape of three small jewels, Sally had created a trio of powerful magnets which, when engaged simultaneously, could trigger a small distortion in the magnetic field around them, causing them and whatever was within their frequency to seem invisible. Handing a small box containing the magnets, Sally then died in her sister’s arms. Grieving the loss of her family, Sandy remembered the box and opened it. Inside were the three jewel-shaped magnets and a piece of information intentionally left off of the schematics. In order to be activated, the jewels needed to be connected by a special metal – the very same one that Sandy’s Miss American tiara was molded in! Inserting the magnets behind the jewels in her tiara, Sandy was able to make herself disappear. Now Sandy continues to fight for the US in style as the ever beautiful and sometimes invisible Miss-American!
#8 Raven
This is Raven. Â A master with the sword, and the unique ability to travel/teleport between shadows.
#5 Morlocks
From the journals of the Templar Order:
Morlocks have been constant threat to man since the earliest recorded civilizations. Â They are a wild and unpredictable race that seems to only care about satisfying their never-ending appetites. Â Though they appear human, they are far more bestial and animalistic than any man I have ever encountered. Â Morlocks tend to live underground and, as such, have keen eyesight in the darkness. Â Despite their lean bodies, they are incredibly strong, and any Hunter who encounters them should beware their claws, which can cut through one with ease. Â Most importantly, one should always remember that a Morlock is part of a pack; they never hunt alone. Â Thus, where there is one Morlock, there will also be many more…
#8 Ribbit
Ribbit is a slightly miserable frog who resents having to be saved (often) by the gang of superheroes. Grumpy to everyone, he has few friends, but those who do get to know him appreciate his realistic outlook on life.
7# A.G.R (Awesome. Gigantic. Robot)
I love  robots. This my tribute to the robot cartoon anime or manga show I use to watch when I was little, Tranzor Z. That show was cool for that time. I remember the character had to fly on top of the robot head, fun stuff. Well, If it was my show, I would call it A G R (awesome gigantic robot). this robot will  battle anything that comes across it path to save the earth. It will be pilot by an young snot noise teenager name Fu YO. This is just an a plain old kicka@# robot show. enjoy everybody. One…..

#8: The Iron
This is The Iron. He’s also in my team, The Supers. He’s kinda like Iron Man, cause he’s a guy in a suit of armor that flys and can blast stuff.
Thanks, Xavier
#8: Stampede
- Real Name: Jerry Browning
- Age: 35
- Height: 6’9″
- Weight: 275 lbs
- Costume: Red wrestling suit with a white pinstripe and white boots
Character info: I had no intention of including Stampede in this 30 Character Challenge, but after drawing Brown Thrasher a few days ago, this guy stuck in my head. When I was 13, I created a team of supervillains and Stampede was a new character added to the team of previously existing characters. He was inspired by the large characters I saw in those early Image Comics (haha) and pro-wrestling (hahahaha). He was a former professional wrestler who went by the name Stampede, and he decided to turn to a life of crime when his wrestling career tanked. He even carried over his wreslting tag-line to taunt the heroes…”Mess with the bull, you get the horns!” Ahhh, good stuff.
#8 – Bright Eyes
As mentioned yesterday, my second five characters are based on my wife, Michelle (this is the third of five).
Michelle is a morning person. Let me rephrase that: Michelle is an annoying morning person. Granted, I’m not a night person, per se, but I am really grumpy in the morning (Note to Self: Create a grumpy morning person). So, you know that phrase, “Bright eyed and bushy tailed?” That’s where I went with this one.
As you can see above, her powers are listed, but I wanted to really focus on her weakness. The idea that she has limitations to her powers (she can only work from dawn to dusk) is really appealing to me. Makes me wonder how she’d do against Blackout. It almost makes her a reverse vampire (Note to Self: create a reverse vampire). I see her as checking a watch from 4pm to 6pm. If she lived in the Northwest, she might be able to go until 8pm. Daylight Savings Time must really annoy her…
…just like Michelle!
NOTE: I’m using Hero-O-Matic (aka Fabrica De Herois) to create my characters. If you’re a writer who can’t draw (like me!), you might want to try it!
#8 Renard Roux
First sighting: Three Years Ago
Alias: The Red Fox
Identity: Secret – Albert Couteau
Features: Red face mask, dress suit and top hat
Skills: Expert swordsman and parkour runner
No one knows why the gentleman thief known as Renard Roux has made life a pain for the law enforcers across the country. Most aren’t even sure if it’s the same guy.
But there is only one Renard Roux. He has stolen gems, paintings, and fortunes. The public doesn’t know that he’s Albert Couteau, a former reality show star turned model. He hides behind a crimson mask and is always dressed for a formal party. He’s cunning and manipulative, not to mention a notorious flirt towards women and men. However, his intentions remain his own, and he’s having way too much fun as a criminal than he ever thought he would.
He’s a sharp character, as deadly as he is brilliant..
Renard Roux: TM and (C) Jeff Harris dba Studio Lightcount.
07 – Korvus Kain & the Murder Men
… continued from Character #6, Ms. Mercury…
… state trooper Sgt. Korvus Kain!
Sgt. Kain was sent out to investigate a remote area of forest, accessible only by dirt roads, under the assumption that smugglers were operating in the area. Kain liked smugglers. He liked the bribe money and kickbacks he received from various smuggling operations even more. The sergeant arrived to the designated site, looking to cash in on whatever illegal activity was occurring, when he was joined, much to his dismay, by military personnel, a handful of university types and even a Senator!
Kain witnessed the Danaian contact and was mentally trying to find an angle to play when the meteors began to fall. Like everyone, Kain sought shelter from the rocky precipitation. Unfortunately, he was overcome by a fit a coughing that stalled him long enough to become a target for a large meteor fragment that crushed his body beneath its enormous weight. A soldier and, if his traumatized eyesight could be believed, the Senator’s wife lifted the meteor off him before dragging his broken body through the meteoric maelstrom. Left in the care of a soldier, shielded by the wreckage of his own police cruiser, Korvus Kain died from the injuries he had sustained in the impact.
The soldier who was with him ducked as a meteor slammed into the ground nearby ending up on top of the recently deceased Korvus Kain. Kain’s body glowed with an internal golden light. His dead hand grasped the shocked soldier’s face and began to drain the life energy from the warfighter. When the meteor storm cleared and the wreckage was surveyed, Korvus Kain’s body was nowhere to be found.
While Kain’s fateful coughing fit was due to emphysema from his years as a heavy smoker or from inhaling the alien atmosphere that emanated from the Danaian craft remains to be seen, it is clear that Kain was transformed that day along with others at that monumental meeting in the Michigan wilderness. Korvus Kain is effectively dead and exists solely through the absorption of human life force. The more life that Kain drains, the physically stronger he becomes. Being undead, Kain is resistant to toxic substances, does not need to breathe, eat, drink or sleep.
To fuel his hunger for life and that for power, Kain turned his contacts from his days as a corrupt policeman into his own criminal empire. His personal army, the MURDER MEN, serves him and brings him living offerings in return for money and power. Kain and his Murder Men are a constant thorn in the side of the Secret Soldiers and are the first, and arguably the most successful, super-powered criminal organization in the U.S.
While this homegrown horror is enough to occupy the Secret Soldiers, the real threat to their super powered presence comes from…
Day 7: Yuyutsu
Yuyutsu was the only hope of a doomed planet. Adorned in the cloth of his people, his parents wished him well as they watched their child escape the planets’ fate in a miniature rocket.
Yuyutsu is the last son of Earth.
______________
There are a couple comic stories like this, but I still wanted to put Yuyutsu’s foot forward. Since he’s human, his experience would be the opposite of Superman’s. He would lead a very sheltered life since he can’t adapt to the atmosphere and he is weaker than the native inhabitants to the planet.
For security, he still wears the emblem of his people, but that only helps identify him as an outsider. Raised as one of them, Yuyutsu is wondering if he’ll ever feel less like an alien on his adopted planet.
#8 – Mister 23
Ah, mustaches – aren’t they great? Not sure what it is about this design I like, but I do, and I’m sure the mustache isn’t hurting any.
Speaking of mustaches, Jonathan created a fantastic mini-comic called Jesop King – The Hunger. It’s beautiful done, great fun, and just filled with wonderful moments. You can read it on his blog here.
I recommend you do. It’s fantastic.
# 7 – Jesse
This dude is Jesse, and as you all can see, he has six arms. He is not a superhero or a hindu-god (he would most likely be plenty successful in both areas, if he just tried) – he’s just studying to become an engineer, and has no interest in joining his fellow freaks in the hero- or god-business.
#8 Monkey-Wolf
The monkey-wolf was not created in the typical horror way, he was developed in an ENEMY lab. He can transform between a regular monkey and a wolf monkey hybrid. The heightened senses come at the price of having less restraint… he’s given to more of his animalistic impulses in hybrid form
#7 Professor Pinn
Professor Pinn is like the Q (from 007 movies) to Agent Acorn and the Animal Elite. Pinn is the genius behind the clever gadgets and weapons used by the agents of the Elite. Along with being the Chief Weapons Expert of the AE, Pinn is the Head of Intelligence. Sounds like a lot of work and responsibility for an animal as slow as a turtle but Pinn’s brain works faster than his body does. Let’s just say there are a lot of gophers in his lab…literally.
Day 8 Geisha
Geisha is an assassin who employs creative methods, and part of an alien race the “Shiro Neko”
08 – Captain Arrow by Beausephus+Son
CHARACTER NAME: Â Captain Arrow
DATE OF CREATION: Summer 2011
CONCEPT: Â He shoots arrows at bad guys.
_________________________________
So when the mood strikes my son (and that is quite often) and he wants to make up “superguys”, “superdudes”, “supermans”… I pull out a bunch of templates I made for him and he picks out everything from the style of boots to the color scheme of the various costume options presented before him. Â I then draw quick sketch, and he edits, adds, etc… Â I then draw up the character and he hangs them in his room…if they meet his ultimate judgement. Â Then I make him come up with a story for each character.
CAPTAIN ARROW is the leader of a superhero team called The Amazing Justice Squad of Superheroes. Â “He shoots bad guys with arrows that he makes in his secret treehouse”. Â He has a partner who doesn’t have a name, but is “like Robin, but not a leader like Robin”.
CAPTAIN ARROW shows my son’s absolute and fervent devotion to any character who shoots arrows. Â He loves Hawkeye and Green Arrow, and even admits to liking Artemis from the Young Justice cartoon, but as he is quick to point out, “Robin is still better”.
I added some tweaks to this published version.  The scale armor up the left arm is new, but everything else is directly  from my son’s imagination.
Number 5: Shadow Walker
Full name: Craig Carter
Alias: Shadow Walker
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Allignment: Good
Race: White
Height: 5’9â€(human form), up to 1 mile (shadow forms)
Abilities: Can shift between three forms (human, half shadow, and full shadow).
In half shadow, Shadow Walker retains his physical form, but can alter his body and limbs (such as extending, enlarging, or transforming into blades) by turning portions of himself into shadows. This form also removes much of his nerve endings, making him less vulnerable to pain on his physical body, while his shadow portions cannot be damaged by any conventional means.
In full shadow, Carter becomes incorporeal, allowing him to extend his shadow across great distances, over buildings, and through water at virtually the speed of light. This form is reserved for travel, since he cannot interact with the physical world in this state. Furthermore, if he stays in the shadow world for too long, he will be attacked by shadow demons and various other creatures that call the shadow world home.
Appearance: human form- short blonde hair, green eyes, thin, somewhat lanky. Half shadow form- white robe with hood, exposed shadow portions around waist, knees, chest, hands, feet, and forearms. Full shadow form- incorporeal
Bio: Craig Carter was raised by a single father, and never thought anything special of himself. However, on his 13th birthday, his father revealed to him that his mother was actually a shadow demon who had tricked his father into sleeping with her. After a one night stand, she disappeared.
9 months later, the demon returned to tell Craig’s father of her deception and give him the baby, fearing that if she kept him in the shadow world, he would be hunted down by other beasts of the realm. Then she disappeared again, but this time, she never came back.
After that day, Craig started to feel himself becoming more and more disconnected with the world, even sometimes feeling that people around him didn’t see him altogether. One night, he was walking home when a car came careening past a turn and headed straight for him. Craig froze in a panic, but the car somehow went straight through him. He looked around at himself and found that somehow he had tapped into his shadow heritage and become completely connected to shadows.
From then on, Craig Carter decided to hone his abilities, vowing that someday he would use them to find his mother and discover the truth about his history.
