16 – Stingut of the Ninja Bros. by Beausephus+Son

| November 16, 2011 | 0 Comments

CHARACTER NAME:  Stingut of the Ninja Brothers

DATE OF CREATION: Summer 2011

CONCEPT:  “Stingut is a little kid who is captured and has to be a ninja and then his brothers come and rescue him and they are all ninjas together.  He uses ropes and lassos and has a little sword.”

_________________________________

So when the mood strikes my son (and that is quite often) and he wants to make up “superguys”, “superdudes”, “supermans”… I pull out a bunch of templates I made for him and he picks out everything from the style of boots to the color scheme of the various costume options presented before him.  I then draw quick sketch, and he edits, adds, etc…  I then draw up the character and he hangs them in his room…if they meet his ultimate judgement.  Then I make him come up with a story for each character.

____________________________________________

THE NINJA BROTHERS is a story that my son started to tell me one night before bedtime.  Perhaps in an attempt to put off the impending lights-out, the story of three long-lost brothers became almost epic in its proportions spreading out over a few evenings and interweaving all of his interests  – superheroes, spies, ninjas, and magic.

STINGUT is a boy who was kidnapped by an evil ninja master at a very young age.  The ninja master trains Stingut in various marial arts and escape tricks.  One day two ninjas infiltrate the ninja master’s fortress and take Stingut away.  The two ninjas, BIRQ and KOKU, are actually Stingut’s brothers who have been training for years as ninjas so they could finally be able to rescue their long-lost little brother.

Together, the Ninja Brothers, start waging a guerilla style war against the evil ninja master who also controls the country they live in.

STINGUT, although young, is exceptionally skilled “at leaping around and disappearing like Batman and Robin.”  He also carries a special arsenal created for him by the evil ninja master.  His tolls include lock picks, and “little darts and sharp sticks to throw at bad guys because he is little so he has to use little stuff.”  STINGUT can also do “really cool rope tricks and magic tricks with rope so he can get out of traps or tie up evil ninjas.”  Alo, STINGUT carries a small magic short sword that each of his brothers have an identical copy of.

Thanks for checking out our stuff.

Universe/Storyline: The Band

Universe details: In the isolated city of Crescent where these characters live, superpowers spring from close encounters with death. Only people born in the city can gain these powers, and since this is a relatively new settlement, the first generation of people born there are just starting to show signs of super-fication. This means mostly kids and teens. Of the teens, Camille, Max, Amelia, Walter, and Rin decide to team up and form a band. They take it upon themselves to realizes that everyone deserves to be informed about the city’s unique predicament, they try to reach every kid in the city at once by putting on a live concert.

In contrast with the Future Cops, everyone knows a Lawyerbot is a robot. It’s impossible not to notice. The thing looks like a trash can on treads with a fax machine on top. It doesn’t speak, but rather spits a printed memo at you for you to read.

It is not clear why the adult citizens of Crescent allow anyone to be defended in court by one of these machines. Sure, they’re programmed with all the necessary legal background, they’re cheaper than a human lawyer, and have markedly less ‘personality’, but these bots don’t know how to find a loophole at all. If it seems like you’re guilty, the bot will barely try to defend you. The city provides these bots to defendants who can’t afford legal fees.

Here’s a little scene introducing Max and his lack of respect for authority, involving the obnoxious Lawyerbot:

INT. COURTROOM- DAY

A juror rises from the jury box to read a verdict.

JUROR

We find the defendant: guilty.

The courtroom is silent. No tears or moans of sadness. No acknowledgment at all from the crowd or the defendant. Just silence. Then, a yawn.

Max slouches so low in the defendant’s chair that only his head can be seen above the table in front of him. His legs are outstretched beyond the table to show off the bright orange Converse high tops he’s wearing with his tie-less suit. His arms pop out from behind the table in a stretch and then he rights himself, resting his elbows on the table nonchalantly.

MAX

Did I miss something?

The jury member looks at him in shock and then turns to the judge, who is staring at Max menacingly.

JUDGE

Because you’re being tried as an adult, your sentence will be served in a federal penitentiary.

MAX

Oh, guilty, there’s a surprise.

Max folds his arms behind his head and leans back in his chair. The crowd mutters disapprovingly.

JUDGE

If you are suggesting some bias in my ruling, Mr. Cardiff, you can take your case to the court of appeals.

Max violently gets out of his seat.

MAX

Stop calling me “Mr. Cardiff” alright? My name is Max. And how am I supposed to appeal my case when I don’t even have a lawyer?

JUDGE

You’ve been provided a lawyer–

MAX

That’s not a lawyer! That’s a god damn robot!

A metal box on treads beside Max spits out a sheet of paper like a fax machine. Max reads it.

MAX

You have not acted in my best interest!

JUDGE

Bailiff, take Max to his cell.

The BAILIFF grabs Max and drags him away. Max struggles to no avail. He yells out at no one in particular.

MAX

Just because I’m different, you think you can put me away? Well your stupid jail doesn’t stand a chance. You can take your crappy justice system, your future cops, and this whole freakin’ city and shove it right up your–

The heavy doors between the courtroom and holding slam with finality.

G. Brett Williams #16 – Finn MacCool (and more Donnybrooke)

| November 16, 2011 | 0 Comments

– Finn MacCool –  Brooke’s uncle Colin Dunne had been living in NYC for years, watching her and her family very closely and doing everything he could to disrupt the Fitzpatrick’s stranglehold on the city. He fought crime as the costumed hero Finn MacCool, choosing to focus most of his effort on cleaning up the corruption caused by his family. Colin is the brother of Brooke’s mother. In an attempt to avoid a life of crime, when he was sixteen Colin ran away to Ireland. Once there he found a charitable priest that was willing to take him in and give him work. The priest, who was more of a drunk philosopher than a man of god, convinced Colin that he should turn his youthful vigor and angst to the pursuit of the martial arts. The priest introduced Colin to a man who taught him everything he could about the martial arts. Colin was a natural student and he soon began to thirst for even more knowledge of the fighting arts of the world. He spent a few years traveling, coming to terms with his past, learning who he was spiritually and developing the skills he’d need to some day go back to NY and fight his evil relatives. It was Colin, as Finn MacCool, that helped the FBI finally take down the Fitzpatrick family. Once the damage had been done, Colin stepped in to take Brooke into his care.

It didn’t take long for Brooke to realize that her uncle was actually the hero Finn MacCool. Once she knew for certain, she insisted that her uncle train her to be a crimefighter just like him. He couldn’t very well tell her no when he himself had once felt that pull, that desire to do right and to help people, so he began training her. Brooke’s intelligence and athleticism made her a natural for the crimefighting trade. She fought crime for a time as Colin’s sidekick, then eventually struck out on her own as Colin’s age began to work against him in the field. Brooke, as the hero Donnybrooke, became a crusader for the poor, using her notoriety as a hero to combat the corruption and mistreatment that was rife in the city’s poorer neighborhoods. To Brooke, it’s those conditions that lead to families like the Fitzpatricks going so wrong in the first place.

El Existencialisto Azul

Where does he come from? What is he? Where is he going? The mysterious El Existencialisto Azul appears seemingly at random delivering death to those he defeats in combat.

Some say he’s a manifestation of death. Some say he’s a hired assassin. The only thing known about El Existencialisto Azul is that he has never been beaten.

#14 – Jumping Jack

| November 15, 2011 | 0 Comments

Jackie Caulder has been a hero since he was 15.

And that was about 40 years ago!

Let’s rewind and try to start from the beginning.

It was the 70’s. Free Love Syndrome had pretty much come and gone and had been quickly replaced by the Disco Fever. Jackie, barely 14 then, was already a big shot at school, as he was being heralded as the most promising quarterback his coach had ever seen. His parents, both blue collar workers who could barely make ends meet every month, were already counting with the countless athletic scholarships that would surely come their son’s way once high school was over. All Jackie knew was that this meant a free ride all through middle school and high school, respect and admiration from his peers, getting to third base by the second date with every single cheerleader he asked for a date, and the guarantee that he would never get a “No” regardless of who he asked.

This all came to a screeching halt during a school trip to the Wagner Institute of Particle Research, were a good humored prank from Jackie caused half of the research equipment to explode, bathing him in all sorts of radiation. He woke up six months later in a hospital bed, feeling weaker than he’d ever felt. He had gone from being a well toned kid to a scrawny, sickly shelf of his former self. He was informed that all the radiation had caused damage to his muscles and organs and that he would need from several years of physical rehabilitation to regain his physical condition. And just like that, Jackie Caulder’s future had been completely derailed.

The Wagner Institute agreed to pay for his hospital bills, but there was still the money for the physical therapy, which Jackie’s parents simply did not have. They attempted to sue the Institute and the school, but only ended up with even more bills to pay and, in the end, he was never able to go to any therapy sessions and just had to adjust to his new life as a weakling. This, however, turned out to be a turning point in Jackie’s life. It was after returning to school in his new condition that he realized that for most of his life he had been a complete bully and a jerk to everyone he’d ever met. He had harassed and taunted his teachers, shielding himself under the coach and his value as a football star. He had bullied many of his classmates, using his strength and the support of his teammates. He had even forced some of the girls he’d gone out with into dating him in the first place, only to treat them like trash after the fact. It was no surprise no one was sparing him any sympathy now that he was the one going through a rough time. By the time he got his head around how much of an asshole he had been, he was actually surprised he wasn’t getting more beatings than he was already getting every day.

It was this realization, coupled with remembering that it was his macho posing while bullying one of his classmates that caused the accident at the Wagner Institute, that made Jackie realize he needed to change and become a better person. Not for the sake of others, since his entire school hated him, but for himself. It was around this time that the true effects of all the radiation his body absorbed manifested itself. Somehow, it had altered his molecular structure, giving him the ability to teleport. He knew this could not all be a coincidence. This long and complicated chain of events had somehow been pre-ordained. Everything that had happened, he somehow knew, was meant to put him on this path. To teach him the humility necessary to take this gift he’d received and not abuse it, but instead help people through it.

Jackie knew from the first moment this wouldn’t be a walk in the park. He would not only have to learn how to properly use his powers, but he would also need to regain the physical condition he’d lost during the accident. The latter part he managed with the help of Ol’ Moxy Lincoln. Moxy owned the local gym and had been a boxer during his youth. When the kid came asking to join in and willing to clean and help in the gym in order to pay for his membership, he recognized something in him. He’d worked with tons of kids off the streets, trying to help them get a second chance in life, teaching them discipline through boxing. The thing they and Jackie shared was they were all looking for the same thing: Redemption. He worked day and night, leaving his sweat and blood in that gym. His old body was gone, so he had to learn to work with his new body, its strengths and limitations.

Whatever spare time he had, he used to hone his teleportation skills. He could only teleport as far as he could see, and the farthest he teleported the more it took a physical toll on him. This was also the same with whatever object he wanted to teleport along with him. The bigger the object, the more energy and concentration it took. With time and practice, it became easier, but teleporting in general was still a tiring exercise. So in order to more effectively used it, he learnt to do short and quick bursts of teleporting, or “jumps” as he called them, designed to make the best of his stamina as well as to confuse his enemies and make the best of his newfound fighting skills too.

The early years were definitely the worst years. Half the time, he didn’t know what he was doing. He kept screwing up, kept getting beaten by common thugs and thieves. But he started getting the hang of it. By the time he graduated high school, he’d managed to make a mark in his neighborhood and keeping it clean from crime, as well as winning a full academic scholarship for State University. He managed to graduate from college, start a career and maintain a couple of fleeting relationships even while expanding his territory and coming to the attention of various super criminals who would become fixtures in Jackie’s life.

Guys like Nightmare, Boss Blind Tiger, Fear & Loathing, Azucena, El Furioso and even more modern additions like Grill-Face, the Beaver, Dreaded Ninja

Now in his sixties, Jackie still does what he does best: Helping people. He’s a married man with two daughters: A little girl and a teenager. His family is fully aware of his life as a hero and accepts it as part of who he is. He’s even become a legend within the super hero community and a role model for all aspiring heroes.

Jackie Caulder has come a long way since his time as a jock and a bully. He’s done much to atone for it, yet after almost 40 years of putting his life in the line for others, he still feels he hasn’t done enough yet. And even though his joints ache and he should sleep more and his bell is starting to stick out of his costume, there is still much to do out there.

So Jack will keep jumping as long as Jack can jump.

While driving home during a thunderstorm Blanche Fitzcatrick hit an old woman who had darted across the street chasing after a cat.  When Blache got out of her car to check on the woman, she had vanished.  All that remained was a dirty old blanket from which a faint meowing could be heard.  The blanket was actually a gateway to the long forgotten Land of the Giant Kittens.  Peering into the bowels of cuteness, Blanche learned the secret of the blanket and took up the mantle of Blankitten, with the ability to spew forth giant extradimensional kittens whenever needed.

#10 The Living Flamethrower

| November 15, 2011 | 0 Comments

The living flamethrower, alias Unit 2 has an altered body chemistry, producing two fluids that, when in interaction cause a violent deflagration. He has been taken in by a military laboratory, which supplied him his containment suit. Unfortunately for him the suit also injects him with a varied cocktail of drugs that manipulate his emotional responses and increases his combustible flow, effectively making him into a living weapon. The periods of “overburn”, where he projects large amounts of combustible in a short period of time, are extremely painful to him, as he is not immune to fire, despite his suit.

This one’s highly Kirby-esque. I like it.

Halla or VALHALLA as dubbed by the press, is the daughter of Thor and twin sister of Steinar.  Both were frequent visitors to Earth of the early 20th century following World War I.  While Halla became facinated by the various cultures, arts, and scenes of the time.  Steinar became infactuated with war, and other darker themes he encountered.  By the early 30’s Steinar became entranced by the mortal Adolph Hitler and the nazi party.  Hitler started to see the rise of super powerful beings in other countries such as Miracle, Doctor Elemental, and The Alliance.  Hitler began to court his own private collection of supers, and eventually formed The Uberschwader (Eng. The Ultra-Squadron).  Steinar became his muscle, and also used heavily in nazi propaganda as a sort of pagan god of aryan superiority.

Meanwhile his sister Halla, despite her love for her brother, wanted nothing to do with Hitler and joined up with The Alliance.  When World War II broke out The Alliance was broken up into three units.  Valhalla was sectioned to the European command with another hero, Miracle.  Over time a romance occured between the two which lasted until the end of the war, when Halla, suddenly decided to leave midgard for unknown reasons.  Recently though she has been rumored to be seen in various places accross the globe.  Why has yet to be seen?

Universe/Storyline: The Band

Universe details: In the isolated city of Crescent where these characters live, superpowers spring from close encounters with death. Only people born in the city can gain these powers, and since this is a relatively new settlement, the first generation of people born there are just starting to show signs of super-fication. This means mostly kids and teens. Of the teens, Camille, Max, Amelia, Walter, and Rin decide to team up and form a band. They take it upon themselves to help other kids who are just getting powers/dealing with death. Eventually, when The Band realizes that everyone deserves to be informed about the city’s unique predicament, they try to reach every kid in the city at once by putting on a live concert.

Here we see a Future Cop doing what he does best-- getting smashed up.

“Future Cop” is a slang term used by young people in Crescent to describe a member of the city’s police force.  The expression comes from the futuristic helmets they wear (an homage of mine to Daft Punk; music plays a critical role in this story). Most citizens of Crescent are unaware that the Future Cops are actually robots.

The Band is united in the belief that the law cannot be executed properly without a little human morality and heart behind it, so they generally hate the Future Cops. Camille and Max in particular take immense pleasure in destroying them (Camille only when necessary, Max whenever he feels like it). However, the origin of the seemingly endless wave of replacement cops remains unknown. They are thought to be programmed by the city government, an elusive group that only appears in news broadcasts rather than in person.

The Future Cops are made to appear human, so they wear uniforms that cover their entire bodies and speak in voices that sound like they could be human.

While they don’t exactly have superpowers, they have advantages only robots have: their bodies are sturdier and stronger than humans’, they can communicate with each other wirelessly across the city,  and they don’t feel anything emotional or physical. Often they are equipped with gadgets like telescoping batons, guns that fire diamond netting or knockout gas, etc. The Future Cops are brutal and determined but they never use lethal force.

Mostly, the Future Cops are there so that there can be awesome fights (whoo!) without anyone getting seriously hurt (boo!), because what good is super strength if you don’t have something to beat up and not feel guilty about?

G. Brett Williams #15 – Donnybrooke

| November 15, 2011 | 0 Comments

Donnybrooke – Brooke Fitzpatrick was the only good apple in a whole family of bad ones. Her family was heavily involved in NYC’s Irish mob. Brooke was a good student and a natural athlete, a gifted achiever. She did very well in high school, took martial arts and boxing, got along really well with her classmates. She worked very hard to stay positive and to not get tangled up in the family business. When she was seventeen, the Summer between her junior and senior year of high school, the FBI made a major move against her family. The ones who didn’t end up behind bars ended up dead. When the smoke cleared the entire Fitzpatrick crime family was broken and Brooke Fitzpatrick was left without a family. With no relative coming forward to take her into their care, it looked like Brooke might be remanded to foster care for her final year of high school. But she had a family member she didn’t know anything about.

#4 Plaid Ninja

| November 15, 2011 | 0 Comments

Evil lurks in the hearts of men! After the strangest day in her life as a medical intern in the hospital around the corner, one girl decides that enough is enough! She becomes the Plaid Ninja, a terror to any who seek to do crime in her fair city! …or at least, those who try to beat the hospital vending machine into spitting out more bags of chips.

The Plaid Ninja is a master of stealth (she knows where the shadows are, at least), a formidable hand-to-hand combat fighter (if a pair of sai she bought online count as hand-to-hand), a clever and witty wordsmith (whenever she’s drunk off her ass, as far as she can remember), and possesses an undauntable soul (hell, she made it through pre-med).

She knows better than to get in the way of the more well-established superheroes, like the Teen Roach or American Bald EagleMan, but the Plaid Ninja is well aware that there are more important things for the higher-ups to be paying attention to than the petty injustices on the street. So, feel fear, jaywalkers! Beware, parking ticket dodgers! Watch your watch, laundromat users! The Plaid Ninja is here for justice!

Description:
The Plaid Ninja has a carrot-colored ponytail she shoves under her plaid ninja mask to help conceal her identity. It has occurred to her that the mole by the inside of her left eye might give her away, but after a fairly embarrassing scenario involving a pair of goggles (she’s got a wicked case of head-based claustrophobia) she decided it was best to go with a less restrictive sort of mask.

(Fell way behind – didn’t have time for sketches and then things didn’t get written down and so on…so I’m skipping the illustrations and just writing things down. Will be posting multiples over the next few days to catch up, sorry for the spam!)

THE STORY STARTS HERE!

… continued from Character #13, Reine de Chance…

… MAXIMILIAN MOTE!

Maximilian, as he prefers to be called, was nearly a straight A student in high school and college, his GPA only hampered by his abysmal physical education performances.  His fanatical love for microbiology ostracized him from the rest of his peers, even those in his field of study.  When he finally pulled his head up from his microscope to look at the world around him he discovered that he was alone in every sense of the word.

Deciding that his intellect was envied by those around him, Maximilian Mote swore revenge for his exclusion from society.  Dr. Mote received a package one morning containing samples of water that was contaminated with an unknown material.  In his research, Maximilian cultivated a little known virus, the same virus that arrived on Earth with the Danaians.  Spooked by his lab assistant, Victoria Timothy, Maximilian dropped the viral culture, spilling it on himself.  In the commotion, Dr. Mote grabbed a lab bench for support putting his hand on the box of water samples.

With a surge of golden energy emanating from Maximilian’s hand the box exploded as a creature grew from within to gigantic size.  What was, moments before, a microscopic tardigrade had become an otherworldly, monstrous water bear that attacked and ate Ms. Timothy, with whom Dr. Mote harbored feelings.  In his rage, Dr. Mote’s hands began to glow and the magnified microscopic moiety returned to its normal, undetectable size.

Maximilian Mote is able to expand microscopic organic material to enormous proportions at will.  While he has tenuous control over these organisms they are largely feral and wreak massive amounts of damage.  In a league with the Wooden Wizard in terms of reality bending absurdity, Mote’s rampages have caused giant viruses and bacteriophages to invade towns and hordes of water bears to tear through a city.

Blaming the world for his loss, Dr. Mote began his reign of terror which has often brought him into conflict with super human beings.  He has an imagined arch nemesis in the Enforcer, who he sees as a jock unworthy of the technology at his disposal.  In addition he has become fixated with Ms. Mercury, who he sees as both a scientific wonder and a woman capable of understanding his intelligence.

Mote’s antics, and that of other powered megalomaniacs, were put on hold with all things extranormal with the appearance of…

… REINE DE CHANCE!

Renée Roue always wanted fame and fortune.  Trained in the criminal arts by her father, Renée was able to fend for herself when she ran away from home into the streets of Paris when she was an adolescent.  Described as a little “off” by those who knew her in the early days, Renée became renowned for her daredevil nature and willingness to attempt even the most foolhardy felonious feat.

As she grew up, Renée became more mentally unhinged and more willing to accept more extreme assignments.  It turned out that Renée had a knack for kidnapping and random acts of violence, though those were often self motivated and not commissioned.  Over time she built a criminal empire, where people feared for their safety and did not try to cross her, especially after seeing the fates of those who attempted betrayal.

The self proclaimed “Queen of Chance” gained notoriety after televising a game of Russian roulette played by a small group of wealthy hostages.  And herself, in full Marie Antoinette costume.  Easily bored, Renée found a new challenge in the rising superhuman population.  She staged elaborate games of chance, with property and lives often at stake, for various heroes and villains to participate.  Pursued by the Five Points of Freedom, the Adventureteers and many others, Reine de Chance remains free largely due to her insanity and the actions she is willing to perform and sacrifices she’s willing to make.

While, the Queen of Chance operates on a global scale of chaos, American heroes have their own villains to contend with such as the mayhem caused by…

THE STORY STARTS HERE!

… the ADVENTURETEERS!

People around the globe had been, and still were being, transformed by the alien atmosphere-born virus identified by the Five Points of Freedom’s own Ms. Mercury.  While these changes were obvious in some, they remained dormant in many others, only becoming evident in their progeny.  There were a growing number of individuals born into Generation X who were more than human.

As these children aged, their extra-normal nature became evident, sometimes in kids as young as five or six years old.  Though from various ethnic, social and geographical locations, these children all developed the same set of abilities.  The children’s eyes shown with golden glows and were capable of seeing complete darkness.  The kids could levitate and fly through unseen propulsion.  They were strong, lifting several tons even at a young age, and tough, able to survive bullets, bombs and even drowning unharmed.

The public and world governments were concerned.  Some countries screened their children and gathered the empowered for study and detainment.  A group of children thus empowered, however, are not so easy to imprison.  The U.S. took a less draconian approach, though some in the government would have preferred otherwise.  Under the direction of the newly appointed Secretary of Extranormal Affairs, Senator Trent Day, the Gold Gladiator and founding member of the Five Points of Freedom, all children with powers, inborn or otherwise, were brought into the Constellations program where they would be mentored and tutored in the use of their powers by other heroes.

One group of powered youth, known in the media as the Adventureteers, gained fame when they saved billionaire philanthropist Aurum Silvers and his wife when his private plane was hit by an errant meteorite.  Silvers and his wife were moved by the children’s altruistic act, though the kids were in no actual danger due to their super human natures, and decided to fund a youth hero team that would operate outside of the government’s control, allowing them to work in areas without political motives.  Unfortunately, there were often political ramifications to their actions.

The Adventureteers were led by Blastblolt (centered) and included (clockwise from center) Princess Heartshine, Pterodactyl, Skullcrusher and Gold Star.  It should be noted that the children named themselves.

The global scope of the Adventureteers brought them and a variety of other super powered individuals into conflict with the psychotic…

Like many, Wright was an admirer of the Five Points of Freedom and their civic works.  He noticed a decrease in crime in the neighborhood that he lived when the team became publicly known.  Who wants to get caught by someone who can fly?  He also noticed the increase in criminal activity when the Five Points became more focused on grander, more surreal threats, like the Wooden Wizard.

After a particularly violent encounter with some Murder Men, Wright decided to take matters into his own hands.  Inspired by the Five Points and other heroic types, Wright fashioned a costume out of pieced he scavenged from the locker room used by a semi-professional wrestling league that performed at the gym he guarded after hours.  Protecting his self with a bulletproof vest and armed with a pair of “shocking gauntlets” that he built himself, each capable to incapacitate an enraged elephant, Wright took to the streets as the Anonymous Avenger to fight crime under the radar of most super powered heroes.

The Anonymous Avenger started a trend of vigilantism where civic minded, capable people taking on the criminal elements ignored by the heroes they idolized.  While all these heroes, super powered and not, were on the look out for their villainous counterparts, they should have been watching out for the children.  Particularly, children like…

#15 Joe The Barbarian

| November 15, 2011 | 1 Comment

Joe The Barbarian comes from the frozen northern wastelands of Taskala. He was born with eye of the tiger on the field of battle and is the proud son of the village chief-tan. Growing up in such a harsh and violent environment forced Joe to mature quickly.

By the age twelve he had already killed over a dozen men earning him the honor and the respect of his people who named him their greatest warrior. Joe led the raids that destroyed the dreaded southern cannibal hordes of Baboso. Soon after, he was overcome with the strong desire to travel. He roamed throughout the vast wastelands as a bandit, highwayman, mercenary, and pirate where he constantly encounters horrifying monsters, evil sorcerers, skanky wenches, and hot princesses. The heroic feats Joe performs throughout his epic adventures are motivated  by survival and personal gain, and sometimes the chicks.

#13 Tiger X

#13 Tiger X (superhero) Here’s another hackneyed use of an Internet name generator. Not bad, not bad at all. I have to admit that if a person takes the result of these generators, chops up the names/titles/ideas generated, and resort them into new combinations, then what you get out of it isn’t too bad. They are supposed to help spark the imagination; you just have to play with the results to get what you want.

I also played around with a generator that produced titles for adventure stories. So for my superhero, I have the following stories (to eventually write and draw):

* “Night of the Comet King”

*“Tiger X and the Puzzle of Lemuria”

* “Operation Minotaur”

* “Tiger X and the Vampires of Mars”

#1 Bikini-Bat

RRrrrOOWR-SQUEAK! No one escapes the BIKINI-BAT!

My first character was inspired by the passing Halloween season and my girlfriend’s hot bodacious rack. Bikini-Bat is my funky fusion of Gidget/surfer early-60’s teen fun meets Horror and Halloween.
