#25 Amun-Em-Helmholtz
Heinrich Helmholtz led the Geistmacht, a cadre of elite Nazi officers trained in the occult. During the North African Campaign of World War II, the Geistmacht was in Egypt, searching for ways to prolong the lives of Hitler and his lieutenants. As the Allies began to drive the Nazis out of North Africa, the Geistmacht were forced to use their arcane knowledge to have themselves mummified, expecting themselves to be revived after the Third Reich’s eventual victory.
With the Third Reich’s fall, the Geistmacht were left to sleep in the Sahara Desert until they were accidentally discovered by looters in the early 21st century. Awakened to an unsuspecting world, the Geistmacht began advancing with the goal of setting up Amun-Em-Helmholtz as the pharaoh of the Fourth Reich.
Eventually the Geistmacht were defeated by The Squadronnaires.

#27: The Serpent
Real Name: Norman Young
Age: 29
Height: 6’1
Weight: 210 lbs.
Powers: mutated with lizard and snake DNA, razor sharp claws, enhanced strength and speed
Character info: Serpent was a villain that I put in my comics I drew as a kid, around 12 or 13 years old. I had a crazed villain named The Inventor who would convince people to take part in his animal mutation experiments. Serpent was one of the last he created (I can think of about 10 different heroes and villains I made up who were the result of these experiments). Serpent is extremely powerful and intimidating, causing trouble for any hero that crosses his path!

#21& 22- Ed and Arwyn
I have to apologize. I had no intention of going 7 days without doing a character. I literally hit a wall and just…poof. Nothing. Around Day 4 of that break, I had an idea for a group of urban terrorists called The Terra 5, but I just couldn’t realize them properly (I did do designs, but I just couldn’t Photoshop them properly since I have no Pshop skills at all). So, I decided to post this.
A few weeks ago, artist Jamie McKelvie posted this image and I fell in love with it. I started writing a story based on these two characters, and it just started to grow from there. They’re not my characters, in the image, but the story I created, based on that image, is all mine, so I figured I’d post it here.

The Party You Left
I woke up in the alley in a pool of blood. My hands were shaking, my body was shaking. I don’t remember how I got here. I don’t know how long I’ve been here. I’m not in pain. Why am I not in pain? All this blood and I feel fine, other than the shaking.
I remember the party. I remember it was…is Halloween. My face…I still have the mask on. So, the party…a few hours ago? Yesterday? I was sitting on Arwyn’s couch. She changed her name after seeing the Lord of the Rings movies. She used to be Sara. Sari. Sori. Whatever. She had some dumb idea about a costume party; “Come as you are. I’ll provide the masks.”
I look around. There’s someone over there, barely moving. I reach out to him and my arm shakes like nothing I’ve ever experienced. It’s like my heart is beating so hard, it’s vibrating my entire body. I keep thinking that we’re having an earthquake, but I remember the last earthquake I was in, six years ago, in Seattle. The ground moved like water, and I felt like I was riding a wave. There’s no wave. It’s just me. I’m the earthquake. I’m the only thing moving in this alley.
They all bounded into the alley, cackling like witches on Samhain. Sara Arwyn and the rest of the party. She asks if I’m ok. I try to speak, but no words come out. I clear my throat and I say, “Whose blood is this?” but no one understands because I’m still shaking. I force myself to stand and funny enough, my legs are steady. The ground is steady. I say it again and all Sara can say is, “Not yours.”
They start to pull me away and I can’t help but look back at that other person in the alley. I can see now that he or she wasn’t moving at all. It was the shaking. I know this because the person, he or she, no longer has a head. Sara Arwyn takes my hand, and she says something that once I heard, I know I must commit it to memory.
“Welcome to the wonderful world of superheroes, baby.”
#29 – White Shade
Two versions on this design – above is version one, below, version two. Which do you prefer?
Interesting that the two artists both went for white hair… I think it works, so will have to update the character sheet at some point… or maybe her hair turns white when she is using her powers?
#9 Magno
Art by Michael Powell (@mpowelljr)
Words by Rolando Garcia (@roshow)
The Magnos family has been in show business for centuries. Literally. The family name “Magnos” dates back to the middle ages, when they were part of a band of traveling performers. Their speciality has always been magnet and metal themed tricks.
With the proliferation of meta-humans in Ultra City and the rest of the world, Mark Magnos, also known as “The Magnificient Magno” when performing at Silver’s Circus, was the first of his family to come forward with the truth about his magnetic powers: they were no trick, they were real and powerful. In his later years, he had a brief but successful masked vigilante career alongside The Scorpion.
His grandaughter wasn’t old enough to remember his hero stint first-hand but she inhereted the family gift and chose to follow his example, becoming a crime fighter herself.
#25 Reel 2 Reel
Movie Fanatics are some of the most obsessive of the collectors lot. That’s one reason that Collect-o sought out Reel 2 Reel. In his regular life R2R refused to distinguish reality and fiction. Always annoying people with his need to bring everything back to movies always using phrases like “I couldn’t have scripted that better” and asking questions like “who would play you in the movie of your life?” and then arguing the answer. He is one of the most fearsome members of the Collection Agency because he can physically back up his mania training many years to become a Hollywood stunt man he is trained in multiple martial arts styles. No one can fake a death (or death scene as he likes to call it) like Reel 2 Reel. It’s uncertain why he’s allied himself against Tank-Monkey as Tank-Monkey doesn’t have anything he wants.
#24 Wixits
Wixits defy simple explanation as every story of them varies. They seem to be a sprite/gnome type race. They enjoy tricks but they can be very focused. If you see a wixit it usually means something very strange is going on whether they are directly involved in it or not.
#24 Caleb Wash – Patient
I don’t know at what point I gave up the fight, but I do know that it was long before I actually stopped fighting.
For months, I had been feeling out of sorts. My punches weren’t as fast or as strong, barely knocking criminals over as opposed to when I could send them through a wall by accident. And then a couple of real punks, the type that I would have wiped the floor with a few years ago, were suddenly slipping in under my guard and gave me a beating.
At first I thought that it was some evil plot. Maybe Enchantra had cast some spell on me, or the Toxin had managed to slip me one of his custom-created concoctions. So I went after them. I beat down doors and chased leads, until I found them and made them talk. But they didn’t know anything. No plot or scheme, just a bunch of super-crooks that found themselves up the creek.
I went to the doctors, but they couldn’t find anything wrong with me. I was the picture of health. I was better than that even. How could a man that could outrun a cheetah and then bench-press a Buick possibly be sick? All of their tests agreed that I was as strong and fast as I always was, maybe even more so. But still every night I went out, I came back bruised and beaten.
It was one of those thugs that finally clued me in on it. He’d been purse-snatching when I slammed him into a wall. He bounced right back up and pulled a knife. He laid me a good one across the chest before I put him out.
When the police showed up and carted him away, he looked at me and said, “Crazy man jumping at the knife like that.†I thought about it. Had I actually jumped for the blade? Did I want to get hurt? Was that why I wasn’t doing so hot lately?
That night, I opened up the phonebook and worked my way down the list of headshrinkers until I found one that would make an appointment.
I’ve been in therapy for six months now, and I am doing much better. I don’t go out on the streets anymore. Instead I devote myself to more constructive uses of my powers, building up the city instead of tearing it down.
27 – Flashpoint by Beausephus
CHARACTER NAME: Â Flashpoint
DATE OF CREATION: 1991-92
CONCEPT: Â After discovering an ability to turn light energy in heat energy, Flashpoint is severely burned but dedicates himself to improving himself and mastering his abilities. Â He becomes a member of a superhuman Military task force and finds the methodology to use his powers for the good of all… by putting on a costume that hides his hideously deformed face and downplays the severe damage his abilities are capable of. Â He uses the reflective surface of his knives to focus his abilities making his trademark, knives blazing with fire.
___________________
The original design of the Flashpoint character featured all the colors above but the “chainmail” armor was essentially a full on shirt of scales, with bright orange tatter tied to the limbs with matching yellow gloves and boots. Â The character also featured the exact same mask as above. Â While the backstory remains almost the same, I’m pretty sure I made him disfigured so that I would not have to draw a face, it being easier for my sixth grade self to draw full face masks. Â The orignal design also featured a bandolier of knives.
So I tried to stay true to the basic orignal design of the character, and given that this post was a bit rushed, I only altered a few design aspects. Â I got rid fo the tattered ribbon as a character who uses fire might not want flammable materials whipping about in the wind all around him. Â Instead of full on knives I made him some stylized throwing knives.
Thanks for checking out my stuff,
Beausephus
#23 Enemy (agent and council)
Enemy seems to be behind much of the augmented animal experiments… the military has been tracking their movements and activity but cannot seem to come up with a motive for their actions…
G. Brett Williams #26 – The Bastard Sons: Incendiary
The Bastard Sons are a super-powered group comprised of the illegitimate children of prominent superheroes (and one villain). Â The group, made up of four members, only learned of their lineage when their powers developed as part of their coming of age. Â The group was formed by Incendiary, the illegitimate son of Bertrand Blaze, England’s fire controlling hero better known as The Brazen Blazer. Â The Brazen Blazer was something of a celebrity in his home country and took every chance he could to use that celebrity to woo the women of Albion. Â Not every woman he slept with ended up carrying a child, but a few did, and of those few, one of them gave birth to his superpowered heir. Â Superhero genetics are a tricky business. Â The gene present in certain people that grants powers has to be “switched on” by some sort of event. Â Sometimes that gene can lay dormant, never finding the specific set of circumstances needed to ignite it. Â Other times, as with all newborns, a set of recessive genes can come to the forefront leaving the more dominant genes, like the super gene, dormant. Â Of the three illegitimate children Bertrand Blaze fathered, only Franklin Tosh, later known as Incendiary, received powers.
When Franklin was fourteen years old, his mother threw him a birthday party. Â One of the party guests was a fourteen year old girl from Franklin’s school by the name of Penny Entwhistle. Â Franklin had a rather large crush on Miss Penny, a feeling which she happened to return. Â As the party went on, Franklin and Penny escaped to his bedroom for a bit of privacy. Â Franklin had her down to just her knickers and Penny had her hand on his bathing suit area when his mother burst into the room and found them. Â Penny grabbed her clothes and ran out, sobbing, with Ms. Tosh shouting a great many things about defiling her son and telling her parents and the like after the poor young creature as she darted from the room. Â Franklin was so embarrassed and angry at his mother that, as she turned to remonstrate the boy’s behavior, his gene kicked in and suddenly the bed he had previously been making it to second base upon was going up in flames.
The next few years were awkward for young Franklin. Â With the emergence of his powers, his mother’s long term suspicions about his parental lineage were confirmed. Â Franklin’s mother demanded paternity tests from Bertrand and eventually ended up taking the man to court for child support, damages (part of her house had burnt up after all) and what her lawyers dubbed, “the emotional hardship inherent to raising a superpowered teenager.” Â It was widely thought that raising a superpowered teenager was more difficult than raising the regular old garden variety teenager. Â Raging hormones is one thing, but raging hormones that cause raging fires, well that’s quite another. Â In the end, Bertrand’s PR team thought it best to settle the matter out of court for an undisclosed sum and get on with the business of helping old ladies cross the street and rescuing cats from trees. Â Anything that would help him repair his damaged image. Â The amount of money was enough for Franklin and his mother to live in comfort.
Franklin went away to university at the age of eighteen, eager to remove himself from the life of flaunting her money and dating younger men that his mother had begun since winning her paternity suit, or, as she referred to it, “the day you finally paid off, boy.” Â To tell the truth, in the time since winning that settlement, Franklin’s mother had paid little attention to the young man at all. Â So when she was shuffled off this mortal coil in a fatal and logic-defying jet ski accident with one of the aforementioned younger men, Franklin wasn’t terribly shaken up. Â I mean sure, it was a bummer to lose his mum, but it’s not like she’d ever been all that loving toward him anyway. Â And there was the problem of that time she messed up his one chance to touch Penny Entwhistles breasts. Â Penny had been so mortified by the experience that she never spoke to Franklin again. Â So he was sad his mother was gone, but not that sad. Â The one nice thing his mother had done though was to take out a life insurance policy on herself for Franklin, in case something such as a random act of jet ski tomfoolery were to ever steal away her life. Â The life insurance, plus the money he inherited from the settlement, left Franklin with a sizable chunk of change. Â He immediately got a financial planner and made some shrewd investments that quickly turned his large amounts of money into obscene amounts of money. Â And with that money young Franklin Tosh did exactly what any superpowered son of a superhero would do…
He decided to fight crime.
#26 – Rocket Lady
She is known only as the Rocket Lady.  No one knows who she is or where she came from.  She has used her abilities to help those in trouble but it is unknown if she is a superhero or just a concerned citizen.  She is still new to the area and it is hoped that more will be revealed in time.
#16 – Little Stinger
Little Stinger was though of after thinking about Wasp (Janet) from Marvel. I wanted a hero that changes his/her size, but I didn’t want another Giant. Her wings were created by her and she was given her “Stinger” guns.
Day 26: The Eternal Knight
Young Roland Platt was a sophomore high school kid in Takoma Park. Although his grades were extrordinary, he took in no extra carricular activities, or had anything in terms of a real friend. His father and mother were both absent from his life, so he was raised by his grandparents. He was for the most part a loner in any kind of social circle. This made him the target of local bullies. One such night he was on his way home from school when he was chased into a nearby park where he discovered a strange glowing object. He went to touch it thinking it was some sort of electronic device and was charged with some sort of radioactive glow which caused him to pass out. When he awoke he returned home, and went about his business. The next morning however he found that he had begun to manifest powers of flight, super strength, and other abilities that put him head and shoulders above average human beings. Being a loner kid that although had a good heart, his lack of social interaction had him looking into things like comic books, television, and other media sources to try and find inspiration for what he should do with his powers. This led him to adopt the moniker of THE ETERNAL KNIGHT, an english translation of his favorite TV wrestler EL CABELLERO ETERNO. So the Eternal Knight began a crime fighting career. But often finds what he read in the comics is not how the real world operates…
#30Characters Chatter…
