#26 Killjoy
When his family was accidentally killed by a mafia hitman dressed as a clown with remarkably bad aim, Fred Keep swore to exact revenge on organized crime and/or humor in bad taste.
Day 25-Sickly
Sickly contains every disease within her body. She can transfer them to others through the touch of her fingertips. She can control which disease and the intensity that she gives to another person. The only problem is the transfer is one way, she can give to another person, but she can’t take it back or cure it. Sickly herself is immune to all diseases and sickness.
#25 Phenokinetic Siyad al Ayad
Phenokinetic Siyad al Ayad can use the power of his mind to change the phenotype of any living organism at will.
Day 25: Dr. Tentapous
Dr.Tentapous used to be Doctor Chi Bush Desh and he was passioned with making artificial organs. After an accident caused not by default but by Enesos Poison, he was crippled so bad that begged Enesos to help him, and gave away all his research. Thus, Doctor Tentapous, as in Octopus but with 10 members. Enesos thought he had his perfect assistant, but his transformation was part of a plan and…well you see what has happened and now he is out there doing nasty things…
Sea_Nov13
Sea Humonster, Mane Wyvern. When a mutated octopus slid it’s way into Mane’s cranium, it grew… more ways than one. It became him. During the final moments of Mane’s consciousness the mutant assumed control and burst it’s tentacles out.  Some people who knew him could still see his facial features remain in the newly sculpted concoction.
Day 25 | Cletus King – Rock n’ Rolling Demon Fighter
2012 – DAY 25
All characters are created by my 5 year-old son, The Junior Partner.  He has either drawn these characters on his own and I have recreated them here, or he has sat at my elbow dictating design and conceptual ideas like a creative, but frenetic, taskmaster.
CLETUS KING
Cletus King is a rock star who is also one of the leading demon fighters of our universe.  He is forever locked in an eternal game of one-up-manship  wit a particular demon who wants to steal his music.  This demon is “super powerful but only the music can hurt him.”  Cletus King uses his affiliation with a government demon fighting agency to help his war on evil but also to help him out fo situations such as when he is locked out of his concert hall and needs to get his notebook where he keeps his lyrics and music.  Instead of saying amgic words, Cletus King sings his songs.  He also has the ability to make his tattoos become real.  he cannot make living things, but weapons, fire, water…that is right in his wheel house.  Some fo his tattoos are strategically placed for quick activation such as batarangs on his thumbs and Wolverine claws on his knuckles  He also has tattoos of shields, swords, nets, bows and arrows, etc.  he also has a guitar pick tattoo on his right forefinger so he can rock out whenever he needs to.
#24 – Blowout (Kyle Murray)
Kyle should not be a criminal, a fugitive, and a killer. He was a reasonable, if unremarkable student from a small, pleasant city, and if he’d applied himself in community college, could’ve gone on to higher education. He was a talented writer, and had even shown some aptitude as a long-distance runner.
Kyle was also, however, petty, vindictive, greedy and callous, always obsessed with showing his “dominanceâ€. Over rivals, over law enforcement, over anyone who thought they had something to hold over him.
Kyle’s alleged toughness is thin, and entirely based upon his powers. Kyle discovered early in his life that he could create small little balls of energy that, when thrown, would explode. What began when he was a child as something only slightly more powerful than a small cherry bomb now can detonate with the strength of TNT, and Kyle is only learning more about his capability. He uses it, and the threat of it to lord himself over the people he surrounds himself with. He entertains himself with the fear of his victims.
Kyle has become increasingly erratic in recent years, as he has been diagnosed with a degenerative nerve disease that causes him increasing pain. As such, Kyle has become dependent on opiods to operate on a day-to-day basis, and regularly abuses the drugs. This is problematic for Kyle, as he has made a fair amount of money in recent years stealing prescription drugs for sale on the black market, only to end up using much of his ill-gotten gain.
#23 – Faraday (Thomas Peterson)
Being a celebrity or being a hero are hobbies for Thomas Peterson. However, he prefers his uncomplicated life, running his family’s music store and being a fixture in the small, college town he has lived in all his life. Thomas considers his work as a “hero†and as a “celebrity†to be useful tools at times, and he certainly does not eschew their impact on his life entirely. But he feels a great deal more comfortable away from the paparazzi, away from the commotion, living in a community where he can focus on teaching students the piano skills he was taught by his father, and trying to have real solutions to problems.
Thomas has always been a slightly unusual hero, because he’s never really embraced the job. His profession, to him, was as a teacher and community organizer. While doing the superhero’s work was useful and important to him, he didn’t see it as having a lasting impact, that its legacy, and his, were fleeting. So he teaches, instead.
As befits a family that ran a music store, music and musicians were always part of Thomas’s life early on. His father was a session musician for several different jazz groups, and his mother had been a opera singer. The pair began Peterson music before he was born, and made themselves a major part of the community within a few short years.
To his father’s delight, Thomas showed a aptitude and love for the piano, along with an ear for musical variety. He had been at college, studying at a music conservatory for three years when his powers suddenly manifested. It didn’t take a great deal of knowledge about powers to understand his burgeoning control over electromagnetic fields could be put to use, but, committed to finishing what he started, Thomas graduated from college before taking up the mantle of a hero.
For eight years, Thomas worked as a superhero, traveling the country, fighting villains, and always trying to set things right. But he felt himself getting lost inside the insular, self-absorbed world of heroes. His life began to revolve entirely around other people with powers, their problems, and Thomas began to feel he was being pulled away from the reason he’d taken up the job in the first place.
Thomas has not quit from the world of other heroes, he has simply pulled back from it. He’s still famous, and many people still visit his family’s music shop for a chance to meet the man once known as “Faradayâ€. He enjoys occasionally soaking in the adulation, and keeps in touch with other friends in “the business” he’s made. Thomas still occasionally goes out out to fight the good fight, but the shop, his parents and his community are his home, his rock. A place where nothing more than knowledge and kindness is expected of him.
Day 24-Pulsate
Pulsate uses the circuitry in the suit he designed to form a pulsing shell of energy around himself. The pulsing energy gives him protection from most weapons and blows. He can also drive it into the ground or out in front of himself to use it as an offensive attack.
Day Twenty-Four – The Descendants
Due to sickness and holiday, I have fallen four days behind in this challenge, so the only way to catch up was the create a team of four characters. Please forgive the hastiness under which they appear. I present: THE DESCENDANTS! Each team member has a famous ancestor and they are heirs to their power and authority.
NASRULLAH HUDA: Descended from Aladin, Nasrullah is still in possession of the flying carpet, except the wear and tear of the centuries left only enough material for her to fashion a doublet from the once magnificent tapestry. It allows her to fly much as one would imagine a jetpack would.
MONA LASAR: Mona is in possession of the Seal of Solomon (and thanks to my terrible drawing skills, it would appear his hands as well). The magic she works is neither good nor evil, but what her intentions make it so.
AI CHAN: Ai is descended from Gan Jiang of Chinese legend and wields the Ganjiang Sword. She search for its twin, Moye.
SISTER SOBRIETY: She does not per se own a relic, but is herself a relic: a clone of Saint Teresa of Ãvila, made from the heart that was nightly “trasverberated by the Love of God.” It is not known what powers she has beyond a sharp intellect and a keen (yet modest) fashion sense.

Day 23: The Living B.R.I.C.K.
Thuck Nysteros was the assistant of the insane Doc named Enesos Poison. He was so fully loyal to him, that accepted to be the guinea pig for an experiment studying the possibilites of an actual merge of living and non-living things. That’s how Brotesque Recklessly Injected Cubic Kal was created. It’s a huge living brick containing Thuck’s soul. Utterly mindless and with absolutely no purpose in it’s life… The definition of a living brick.
Day 24 | Spiderfly
2012 – DAY 24
All characters are created by my 5 year-old son, The Junior Partner.  He has either drawn these characters on his own and I have recreated them here, or he has sat at my elbow dictating design and conceptual ideas like a creative, but frenetic, taskmaster.
SPIDERFLY
Gentle Reader, you may have noticed a trend toward spider themed heroes in this 30 Day contest.  This particular spider hero was a combination of an armored version of Spider-Man and an old Batman villain named Black Spider discovered in an old DC Comics’ “Who’s Who” issue.
Spiderfly wears an armor that grants him agility and strength but also can allow for short periods of weightlessness.  Spiderfly has a series of “web bombs” that he wears in a utility belt, but can also shoot blasts of sticky fluid tendrils out of a special gun or from nozzles in his forearms.  He also could use the same fluid to create an underarm “cape” of this spider web fluid which allows him to glide along from building to building or over distances when used in conjunction with his weightless ability.
#14: Jason Tanaka
Julia and Martin Tanaka decided to adopt after finding out that Julia could not have children.  They found Jason at the  local orphanage and fell in love with him.  He was only 6 when he became a member of this unique family.  He is a very chill dude and isn’t surprised by a lot of things.  Though his parents tend to have busy schedules, they make time to spend with Jason and as a family.  He first picked up the trumpet after hearing his (adopted) grandfather play at a small concert.
Day 24 – Gunman
Aliases – Gunman, Vigilante
He is a genetically enhanced enforcer that works for the government.
#23 The Fiend
Supernatural detective and man of action, The Fiend uses wit, cunning and prowess to combat evil and embarass those who would exploit the weak.
Does his brass mask impart him superhuman ability? Is he cursed by powers infernal, or perhaps blessed by Heaven? His enemies scheme, his admirers wonder-but only the Fiend knows the truth.
Day 23-Ocellus
A professor of optics developed a device that allows him to shine spots of color on different objects. Most people would think they had created a cool thing for entertaining at parties. But not this professor, he decided to make a jumpsuit, strap the device to his back and become a crime fighter. So if you see Ocellus on the street and you are up to no good watch out, he just might shine a dot of colored light on you.
Day 23 | Monk Manchu, Private Eye
2012 – DAY 23
All characters are created by my 5 year-old son, The Junior Partner.  He has either drawn these characters on his own and I have recreated them here, or he has sat at my elbow dictating design and conceptual ideas like a creative, but frenetic, taskmaster.
MONK MANCHU, PRIVATE EYE
After staring at some of the Hellboy statues in the home office, the Junior Partner, mentioned that Hellboy looked like a big red monkey with a giant gun.  I threw together a sketch on a post-it of a chimp holding a giant Hellboy gun.  The  Junior Partner then asked who he was and his story and I turned it around on him.  I suggested the name “Monk” and then the story unfolded that the chimp was a cop who solved crimes and his gun shot grappling hooks and nets, etc…  I drew a fu-manchu style mustache and gave the character sixties love beads and patterned kung-fu shirts for a hippie vibe.  Those were all vetoed and eventually the character became more of a orangutan with no ‘stache so the name, “Monk Manchu” doesn’t really fit anymore.  Nevertheless, here he is…a monkey private eye with a big gun and knows king-fu.
Day 23 – Buster
Aliases – Buster, Lex
He came from the future seeking adventure and fight. He mostly fights for justice, but if injustice offers greater money he agrees to become a bad guy for a day. In his own time he was a law enforcer, but his job seemed too boring, so he sneaked into the time machine lab and traveled to the far past – to 21-st century.
#22 Microkid
Real name: Timothy Rolend
Height: 5’7Â Â Â Age:19
Weight: 215 lbs. Race:Caucasian
Location: New York, NY
Microkid is one of my first characters I created out of a sketchbook back in 1993.
Timothy is the son of a scientist working for a pharmaceutical company. Timothy felt sick one day when he visit his father so he went to find a pill that can cure his sickness but he found out the hard way that it was an experimental pill made to military use. He ended up having it part of his anatomy permanently. He discovered the ability to shrink to almost microscopic size with the use of positive thinking. As Microkid, he uses his powers to go into places no one else can to fight crime .
Powers: Hand to hand combat along with his power to shrink or enlarge his size.
Personality:Confident and understanding.
Day 22: The InvisibLega
Nick Lega is the twin brother of Indiana. DON’T YOU SEE THE SIMILARITY? 😛
Well, he was visible, until a toxic accident made him invisible. Till then he’s practically nowhere to found. He usually haresses models and beautiful girls and then he lights up a cigar wearing his cool glasses. He is a grey character, not bad, not good. Somewhere between.
Day 22-Mixed
Mixed is an experiment by a secret cabal of scientists working in an undisclosed location to see if they could combine robotic parts with a college student who thought he was volunteering for a fraternity hazing. If the scientists had been working in a disclosed location they might have better parts, but working with what they had Mixed was the result. Once back in the world the student didn’t really know what else to do with himself, so he has decided to defend the Earth from evil and protect other dumb college kids from volunteering for experiments with weird scientists.
Day 22 | Space Pirate
2012 – DAY 22
All characters are created by my 5 year-old son, The Junior Partner.  He has either drawn these characters on his own and I have recreated them here, or he has sat at my elbow dictating design and conceptual ideas like a creative, but frenetic, taskmaster.
SPACE PIRATE
After looking at old, retro Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers images The Junior Partner became enamored with the whole 1950s fishbowl space helmet.  We were drawing pirates and then space aliens which melded together and then he wanted a really hardcore space faring pirate.  He wanted the old school fishbowl helmet, and I tweaked it… he was skeptical but then loved the overall “tech” look of the various components and the flaming laser sword instead of a “light saber” style energy weapon.
#30Characters Chatter…
