2013 Post# 15 –Miss Bumble
Wilcox Post#15 — Miss Bumble
Another of my “magic girl” characters. She has insect powers; and fights the dark forces along with the Red Ant People.
Also, this will be my last post. Today is November 30th, and the challenge end tonight. This challenge has been good for me, showing me my strengths and weaknesses: I am good with storytelling qualities and composition, but have a weakness in keeping my enthusiasm up for a project (my first year saw me creating 37 characters, the second year 16 characters and this year only 15). I think this will be my last year contributing to the challenge.
Best of luck to the rest of your efforts. And Happy Holidays.
#15 – Ambassadorius
Every Angels is made for a specific purpose – some are there to play harps, some guard people and some have important jobs in the hierarchy of the Heavens. Â One Angel however, lives not in Heaven or on Earth, but in Hell: Ambassadorius – the Grey Angel. Â While there is much talk of how heaven will sweep out Hell one day, the point remains that if they could have done it, they would, and similarly with Hell, much as both like posturing. Â While they talk big, the likely result would be the destruction of both, and then the pantheon of some religion would move in and take celestial real estate, which is about the one thing that both sides hate the idea of more than each other. Â There are various unbreakable universal laws put in place by higher powers to stop direct inter-pantheon conflict, and therefore to prevent the prospect of this chain of events happening, there is the imaginatively named Ambassadorius.
One of the oldest Archangels, he sits in Heavens Embassy in Hell and fixes the problems that arise between the two that might spark something off. Â Unlike all other Angels however, his task is not to ensure the protection of Mortals and Angels from Hell, and therefore in his negotiations to stave off crises, and with his powers of diplomacy, he has ceded souls to hell that should go to heaven, and even on occasion retroactively rescinded Entry into Heaven, a prospect which horrifies most angels. Â He is cold, cruel, and has no regard for anything save his own task, and this is simultaneously highly effective, but also uniquely amoung the divine beings utterly morality-free.
#30 – Death
This is the grave of Mrs. Pardee’s mother. She never came back, she has no message to pass on to her daughter. While stories of the risen dead give us hope for another chance at life, the simple fact remains that whether you believe it to be the final end or just another change of scenery, death awaits us all.
#30 – Gold Coin
Gold Coin is the twin sister of Revlis, and another god exiled from the realm of the gods. Â After hearing of her sister being banished to earth, she couldn’t really stand for such a severe punishment towards one another, so she chose to exile herself to earth and seal herself in a distant cavern.
Then in the 21st Century, she woke up and wandered the cavern to see if anything has changed. Â Searching for her sister, Revlis, Gold decides to head to the land closest to the caves she trapped herself in.
In her time, she had the task of observing people as they grew older. Â She could change her “age” at any given time to blend in within various groups to avoid detection should anyone be chasing after her. Â She prefers to take the form of a young teenage girl, as it is smaller, and she can move faster in that form.
Unlike her sister, Gold prefers diplomacy to solve her problems.
Day 30 Snowstorm!
Snowstorm is an incarnate form of the hostile nature of winter itself. Living in the northlands, Snowstorm can blow a raging blanket of ice and snow across an area powered by an unrelenting wind that on its own can chill the strongest of constitutions. The beast prefers to remain isolated and quiet.
Fred 29: Ruya Roshan
A strange glow coming from the gatekeeper’s fingertips was pointed at us, we did not know what it was, but we did not trust it; She had a reputation as gatekeeper to uphold and we were not to be the ones to sully it.
Fred 28: Suhayl Hubert
“Yeah, I been living in this part of the forest for… I dunno, twenty years or so? Yeah, about that. What I think about the new factory? I think it’ll bring jobs, like they say it, but that don’t mean I trust them. I done good for myself without working for the humans until now, and I don’t see why it’d be needed now. I dunno. I guess we’ll see, eh? One thing for sure, it’ll get busy ’round these parts. “
#18 Supreme President of the Armored Cheese-Fiends
A cheese based lifeform, cheese-fiends’ interest in Earth lied in her naturally superior cloning facilities. (Though most of them are appalled at how cheese-kind get treated.)
On at least one occasion, his plans have been thwarted by this guy.
Note: I’m uploading this and The Marvelous Man-Spider after posting all the stuff related to VAMPIRE ROBOTS FROM MARS and THE RETURN OF THE VAMPIRE ROBOTS FROM MARS.
#14 The Marvelous Man-Spider
Sam Stabilo was an average spider until one day he got bitten by a radioactive man…
Note: I’m uploading this and Supreme President of the Armored Cheese-Fiends after posting all the stuff related to VAMPIRE ROBOTS FROM MARS and THE RETURN OF THE VAMPIRE ROBOTS FROM MARS.
#27 #28 #29 #30 #31 Doe Buck Coney Lago and Capon
Aldegund’s Animal Buddies
A Saturday-morning cartoon chronicling the adventures five of Aldegund’s Animal friends that save the world from alien menace through their wacky hijinx.
Doe is naturally inquisitive, and likes to investigate things. She’s generally the starting point for most of the group’s adventures.
Buck is the unofficial leader.
Coney is the brains. He likes to fiddle with electronics in his free time.
Lago is composed, but can be a little blunt at times.
Capon is more of an easy-going, festive type.
#24 #25 #26 Atomos “Ann” Arnbjorg and Clemens
Venusians. They have come under the pretense of interplanetary alliance in an attempt to steal Earth’s supply of Ununoctium.
Once their lie was exposed, they decided to take a more direct approach, brandishing weapons far too fantastic, and horrifying, even by the standards of the distant future of the year 2000.
All that stands between them and destruction on a planetary scale is an uneasy alliance forged between humans and THE VAMPIRE ROBOTS FROM MARS.
#23 Doom Peddler
Aldegund’s right-hand-robot, he spreads doom wherever he travels.
Definitely not somebody you wish to run into in a dark alley. Not even in the distant future of the year 2000.
#19 #20 #21 #22 Frank Walker, Ralph Thompson, Willie Robinson and Roy King
Four volunteers in the enhanced soldier project, their physique has been augmented by modern medicine of the distant future in the year 2000.
The telltale signs of Martian technology, and the eventual appearance of Aldegund lends credential to the theory that VAMPIRE ROBOTS FROM MARS may be due to their desire to attain the enhanced blood to use for their own foul purposes.
30: Water Dancer Thalassa
You find her behind the ebb of every tide and the rush of every current.
(And that’s it for my 30 Characters in 30 Days 2013! Summary post with musings to come.)
#16 #17 Helen Stavros and Douglas Morris
Daughter of Professor Stavros, and her college sweetheart, they dropped by the research center with the intent of throwing the professor a surprise birthday party.
Things took a turn for the worse shortly afterwards.
In the distant future of the year 2000.
#15 Professor Stavros
In the distant future of the year 2000, Professor Stavros is a Nobel prize winning scientist working with the army on a top secret project. To create a better soldier.
Little does he know what lies in wait for him and those around him.
Day 28, 29, 30: Summoner Jay and his Elementals
Jay was most talented summoner in the academy. While his peers struggled to call on basic globs of water and floating flames, he was creating wurms and drakes from bizarre combinations of material. For him, the skill is almost automatic, his mood flooding into these strangely intelligent creatures.
Jay’s Pitchfire Lurker is a creepy little character. It comes from the black ashes and smoldering goo at the bottom of flames recently died. It sulks around angrily, then flares up into fiery anger at unexpected moments.
Jay’s Bramblethorn Guardian is a bizzare creature. It bulges with entangled stones and scratchy thorns, and does not respond to beck or call. But when Jay or his friends are in trouble, it becomes frighteningly protective and charges into danger without hesitation.
In the world of New Gaius, creatures from the Grey have invaded, and humans are a dwindling species. Beings of magic and myth have manifested to protect and integrate with the last survivors. But still, the fate of humanity is uncertain in this strange, beautiful new world.
Day 29 – Zoxen
Zoxen is a powerful monster living in the corrupted zone. The corrupted zone isn’t a place you’d want to visit at the best of times, but Zoxen makes a visit equal to suicide. He is said to nest in the center of the zone where the corruption is strongest. Although great treasure and powerful magics are said to exist in the zone, no one has ever be able to verify it.
2013 Challenge: Day 30:- FIREPLUG
The Tiny Titan of Terror helps me round up my third year of the challenge! Â Thanks to everybody who participated, you guys inspire me, and I’m going to spend the time between now and next year poring over your stuff! Special thanks to #TylerJames for getting the ball rolling, and keeping it rolling.
030 – Louise Erica Morales
Wife of Jericho and mother of Roland and Henry, she’s a high school teacher.  Louise escaped Hell many, many years ago and found a human vessel to take over.  She and her boys were advocated by the angel Serenitatem and rarely uses her true demon form.  Both Henry and Greg have taken her math class.  Roland was spared.  Louise is very close to her human parents, though not as much with her in-laws who knows that she is a demon.
#29 – Mrs. Pardee
A middle-aged woman who lives in a well-maintained old house in the suburbs outside of the city, Mrs. Pardee never had a real interest in the spirit world until the flood came. She spends many nights trying everything she can think of to contact her departed mother, who died many years before the flood. Dowsing rods, Ouija boards, crystals, voice recorders left on in empty rooms, Mrs. Pardee has tried it all, and the lack of anything more concrete than a few hand spasms and unintelligible static on a tape has done nothing to diminish her infinite well of hope.
#28 – Conceal
A spirit far older than the flood that so recently devastated the city, this ghost is an amalgam of souls that died as a result of the train that once traveled across the now-defunct trestle. Long since past its prime and in disrepair, the old stories about a man eating monster that would lure unsuspecting children to the train trestle to die have largely faded into irrelevancy. Now without a purpose or even a memory, the spirit fades as children stomp on the remains of its grave.
#30Characters Chatter…
