#29 Mika Petsen Talven

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

Stuck both in his winter coat and in an infatuation with an ex-girlfriend, Mika is terrible at accepting change in his life. He is a bit of a bumbling idiot, but he means well, even as he sheds on everything you own.

#28 Jolanka

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

Before being rescued from her tribal homeworld, Jolanka was living in hiding with an adoptive son—also an exile. She violated strict gender roles and her long horns were docked as punishment. Despite this, she is optimistic and friendly, becoming a mother-figure from many of the other exiles and orphans on Captain’s ship, no matter the species.

#27 “Boots”

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

Assistant mechanic, Boots takes his name from the specialty shoes he must wear while working on the ship. His race comes from an extremely mountainous world, in which all the buildings and floors for that matter are at an incline. He is slow-moving and slow-thinking, but by no means stupid. Calling him “male” is an approximation, as his race has three sexes, all necessary for reproduction.

#26 Aurig

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

Aurig comes from an aquatic warmongering race, which found his show of mercy to one enemy to be quite distasteful and worthy of death. Disgraced, he fled his home and lives as an exiled general, in charge of weapons on Captain’s ship.

#25 Tamzen Heidrun Ingvar

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

Tamzen is a human-alien hybrid, far up her family tree, as the only effects on her body involve increased flexibility and color-blindness, which explains her horrendous fashion decisions. She works as a language instructor at a large metropolitan university.

#24 Kinna Nananea

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

Serving as the ship’s doctor, Nananea has trouble keeping it in her pants, so to speak. Despite her lack of understanding of personal boundaries, she is deeply caring for her comrades. She has little respect for cultural standards, especially her own race’s restriction on interspecies relationships and gender roles.

#21 Oxa

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

One of the few surviving members of her species, and a former guardian of their queen, Oxa’s life is riddled with rage and guilt. She feels like the arm she sacrificed will never be enough to atone for the downfall of her race. Standoffish, blunt and too serious, she seems to only be close to the Captain, to whom she serves as first mate. Only time will tell if she manages to get her revenge.

I feel so accomplished!!!  This is my first attempt at the November 30 Characters challenge, and hopefully not my last.  It really made me challenge myself, forcing me to draw more.  All of these characters have their own stories and wish to soon add them into the plot.

PS – Let me know if any of the links are incorrect so I can fix them.

#29 Clara

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

She hadn’t always been like this, this cruel and unforgiving.  At one point, she had actually been a kind an gentle soul.  She could have been a loving mother.  Could have, if the world had not become the blackest version of itself.  Could have, if she wished to be weak and at the mercy of the merciless.  But she was never a sheep.  And let’s face it, wolves do not raise sheep.

Which wasn’t to say that she didn’t have a crystal clear understanding of the wounds she was inflicting.  In the quiet secret hours of the night, she catalogued them meticulously, carving into her own heart her own version of the pain she knew her children would most likely carry with them throughout their days.  Hopefully those wounds will have served their purpose, honing their reaction time and survival skills, helping them to understand that if mercy was a choice, it couldn’t always be the right choice.  And sometimes the greatest mercy was in cruelty.

She called them her children and they called her mama, even the ones who had come to her old enough to know that they weren’t of her blood.  This day and this age details like that hardly mattered.  Times were beyond tough- times were do or die in very short order, and none of these young ones were beyond understanding it.  They had been born to it, and had found their way to her in one way or another, with or without her help.

She was making of them a tribe.  A group which stood a chance of surviving by their own hand, and not at the mercy of all the cruelly wanton souls which seemed to be roaming the earth in hordes.  She fought for them, tooth and nail, and taught them how to fight for themselves, and damned if the older ones, some who had come to her old enough to be well familiar with the way the weak could be used, knew just how lucky they were for the chance she was giving them.

Which didn’t make it any easier.  She watched them sleep, huddled in a great mass for warmth when the coals died down.  When the wounds she carved into her young ones were sharp enough, she took a knife, made a little cut upon her wrist and rubbed dark ash into it, so that she would not forget.  Even as she knew that the world she was trying to remember would be little more than a fanciful lace of words when she was dead and gone, she vowed that she would not forget.  It seemed important not to.  It seemed important to remember, most of all, that mercy was a choice.

#30 – Kassan Ske, the God of Rage

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

To say that Kassan Ske was ever a mortal being is to imply some sort of mundana or knowable status to a being that, while existing on the known planes, was a veritable force of destruction.

Called ‘The Red Slaughter’ by his Heralds, Kassan Ske was a fiend made flesh- an experiment gone shockingly awry- an embodiment of ogrish brutality, draconic fiery terror and the full corruption of pure, abyssal evil. Worse, he brought out these same traits in his followers and soldiers, making them all abominations, capable of vicious brutalities on the battlefield- and no remorse for the weak or defenseless. His ascension was as inevitable as the march of his forces. It will take the combined efforts of the forces of good to keep his hideous machinations in check.

#30 – General Nelson

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

General Rosa Elizabeth Nelson is the general of her own personal army of mercenaries, who are hired to take part of any mission that interest them.

Rosa isn’t really too interested in fighting for good or for evil, however, she has taken assignments from people from both sides for her own goals.

Rosa is very focused on her goals and will stop at nothing to accomplish them, but outside of the battlefield, she is a very down-to-earth person.

Rosa is approximately 34 years old.

Cinny’s male counterpart. There’s a high possibility he’ll also be a mascot for the art group I work for. Well, last OC from me 😀

#29 – Dr. Tanbark

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

The scientist that helps with Tsuga and Saffron… I think or remember. She was created by both my friend and I. I sorta wished that I didn’t draw her with the boring lab coat and show her awesome clothes XP

#28 – Tsuga

Another robot OC that my friend and I created. He was a hassle to make, mainly since I rarely deal with mech/robot-style art >.>

#30 – Rattila Half-elf

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

Day 30 - Rattila Half-Elf by George Ward

Rattila  is the bastard child of Lovalor (day 29) and an Elf Princess who died in child birth  (long story).  She was exiled from the elf community as soon as she was old enough to survive on her own and she traveled to a human village which rejected her because of her elven blood.  She learned to hate both elves and humans and made her way to communities that had many mixed races.  She had to learn to fend for herself and became quite a skilled fighter.  She was also hard hearted and was willing to steal or kill to survive. She  eventually met Adrika (Day 14) and became her loyal body guard.  The two of then have become an unstoppable force ever since, much to the horror of anyone who crosses their path.

Lovalor (Day 29) is unaware of any of this but he is aware that he has a child somewhere and is out looking for her.  How will he react when he sees what she has become?  How will she react meeting her father for the first time?  That is a story for another day.

Day 28, 29, 30

At last complete!

Marianne Stokes works for Madame Striker as a waitress in the tavern of her brothel. Marianne never speaks to anyone, although her eyes are what will generally make others uncomfortable. Her red and white uniform implies that she is in fact off limits and not available for customers. No one is entirely sure why though.
B.W. are his initials, he never uses his name in introductions. He is an iterdimensional traveller and a shapeshifter. Though it is often easy to pick him out in certain dimensions, seeing as the one he is from has no colour meaning everything he shifts into is always patterend black and white. He claims to be a scholar but it’s more likely his chasing someone or somthing that has been lost.

Chartresse is the darkhanded maiden, who has eyes for the past present and future. Often when she comes to an individual it is to teach them a lesson of sorts, her white hair brings images of things long gone while her dark magic shows what could be. No one knows how she came to be and many assume she always was. She is not treated as a Godess perse but she appears to have some form of divinity nonetheless.

#24 “The Twin”

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

Another staple in the sideshow community. The Siamese twin.
