Born at an early age, Rachel soon discovered pencils and began doodling fantastical things in her spare time. And sometimes her non-spare time.
#23, 24, 25, 26 Fairy Panda & Steampunk Man
A Peppermint Panda, a Steampunk guy, a confused Naga, and various other stuff.
I am forever playing catch-up. Gah.
#22 – Cubby.
It’s a lion cub named cubby.
Apparently his parents had no imagination, and/or were secretly wishing for a bear.
#21 – Nathaniel Wolverton
Even though I’m not sure if those wingy-bits are part of his shirt, he is probably a fae creature of some sort, since his proportions are so weird. Â But no one else would form a band, so he has formed his own – parading and trumpeting day and night.
No one has the heart to tell him how bad he is.
#20 – Zola
I wanted an idea, and my friend invented Zola – she’s with a band.
I think it’s playing chiptunes.
#14, 15, 16
Buttons the Monkey says “Ook” with authority.
Cosmo is the man, and Barney is the dog – but sometimes they swap names to screw people up!
Flailing…
I only have 6 characters uploaded so far!
Maybe this weekend… waters closing over head… all going dark…
#5 – Avanelle Avens
Avanelle Avens looks sour, because not enough people have been complimenting her new outfit.
And she won’t forget the poor souls who weren’t impressed…
#3 – Arnold Palmer
Arnold Palmer picked his name when he saw it on the side of a can.
He’s a very curious … whatever he is.
#2 – The Melancholy Inkwarden
Some days it’s just a tiring job. (Though I’m not sure what he does, exactly…)
Returning Challenger 2012: Rachel Ross
I played along last year, and managed to get 30 characters done – but a lot of them were “pretty terrible”.
So this year, I want to churn out 30 characters that are “less terrible”.
I’ve been practicing, but not as much as I should!
Here’s my website, where I will cross-post these characters: Glimmerville
#23 thru #30 – Procrastination Collection
These are “Ran-out-of-time-colored”.
Well, at least I have 30, even if they aren’t awesome ones.
#20 – The Antlered Macaw
Ah, the extremely rare antlered macaw…
First described by Sir Archibalderdash Higgs in 1836.
Often frequents Japanese bath-houses, which are hard to find in the Amazon. Its cry sounds like a microwave’s buzz, and it smells vaguely of sweat and figs. It lays two eggs per clutch, one of which is always blue. The blue one is inevitably devoured by predators, owing to its conspicuous color, so no one knows if the blue egg is fertile. No antlered macaws have ever been successfully raised in captivity.
#18 – This Won’t Hurt
A mad-scientist/medic/interrogator gnome, on a gnomish airship (erm, airship not shown).
What could possibly go wrong?
I really mean to color these things…
#15 #16 #17 (Catchup)
I was severely lacking in my “drawing guys” skills.
This doesn’t make up for it, but it was good exercise.
Also now I’m only TWO days behind. Go me.
#13 (and maybe #14) – Robinson and Tilly
I am going to be busy tomorrow so this MIGHT count for two. Not sure…
#12 – Barden Torque
A little bit cliché but I don’t mind.
I’m just happy I’m not falling behind on these things!
Though I should have taken a few more seconds on those shoes… gah.
#10 – Stellaria
I should have colored all the little stars but I just didn’t have the patience. I’ve got to draw three characters tonight to catch up!
#30Characters Chatter…
