2013 Returning Challenger: Corrie Ferrell Jr.
Hello, this will be my third time taking this challenge. Â I’ve completed this challenge twice in the previous two years, and I am very honored to take on this challenge again. Â As with the previous two attempts I will utilize both traditional and digital media. Â I will also try to mix things up a little bit more this year. Â Currently, I’m just your average college student who just loves drawing and playing video games.
I look forward to seeing what everyone does for this challenge. Â Have fun and good luck everyone!

Corrie Ferrell Jr. – 30 Characters in 30 Days 2012 Edition
And those are my characters for this year’s challenge.
#30 – The So-Called “Princess” of Some Far Away Plant Land
Another subject in a series of bio-experiments, this young woman was transformed into a humanoid plant-like creature. Â She can easily be mistaken for a princess of some far away plant land.
#29 – The One Known as “Blight”
Calling herself “Blight”, this half human half spider creature aims to make things as painful for others as possible. Â Is a possible ally with Nightmare.
#28 – Frankie the Spectator Mermaid.
Frankie is a young mermaid who is said to occasionally visit places where swimming competitions are held. Â It appears that she really admires the human swimmers.
#27 – The One Known as Nightmare
Calling herself “Nightmare”, this psychopathic naga is highly focused on taking revenge on the very clan that had kicked her out due to several crimes. Â Her real name is currently unknown.
#26 – Experimental Bio Slime
This experimental slime, taking the form of a young woman, is simply a fun loving creature that tends to get curious about her many surroundings. Â She is the first of many bio-experiments by a (former) mad scientist.
#25 – Susan the Centaur
Susan is a centaur who likes to play football during her own spare time. Â Aside from that, she’s too busy with her job as a personal trainer at a gym in her human friend’s shopping district. Â While arrogant, she is also sociable and doesn’t act as if she is better than everyone. Â She just thinks she’s too awesome sometimes.
#24 – Dana the Harpy
Dana is a harpy who is looking to help others who regularly have trouble with everyday problems. Â She is a very nice person.
#23 – “Fur”
Fur was once a reclusive human who spent a good majority of his life by himself, until a burgular who tried to rob him ended up killing him.
Just another experiment by idiotic scientists, he has been revived as a cybernetic cat. Â This gives him the opportunity, should he ever find his killer, to exact revenge.
#22 – Bruce the “Combat Flower”
A former police officer and gardener, Bruce once lived an ordinary life. Â Until one day, a freak accident left him unconsious, and severely wounded.
That’s where the screwup scientists come in. Â After several attempts at turning him into a cyborg, they realized that the “only” way he’ll ever be able to do anything again was to turn him into a cybernetic flower. Â As of now, he only has one vine arm which he can use to wield any kind of weaponry he can with one hand. Â Aside from that, he is extremely upset, and wishes to force his so-called “saviors” to give him a new body.
#21 – Avian Hare
A rare cross between a bird and a rabbit. Â He seems to have something on his mind… oh yeah, kicking the snot out of anything that gets in his way.
#20 – The Hovering Arm
Yet another experimental mechanical monster. Â Only it’s a robot with only a spiked arm only he can control (or so it seems)
#19 – Warren, Champion Turned Boot
Once a heavyweight boxer, Warren was killed in an accident that completely obliterated his body.
He has been revived, thanks to some screwup scientist, as a boot with a remote control fist.
#18 – “Terror Borg”
Another experimental monster. Â This time, a man has been “transformed” into a giant serpent-like machine with a huge cannon and a blade for arms.
#17 – The Terrible Cannon
An experimental mechanical monster with the idea of giving him as many firearm-like weaponry as possible.
#15 – Prototype Cyborg Type Super Sprinter
Once the star runner in his college’s track team, he learns of his sister’s kidnapping.
As overprotective as he had been towards Sparky (Taser), he decides to give up his track career to visit a friend of his who had been secretly experimenting with a robotics project to make his robots faster. Â After a while of explaining what’s going on, his friend finally agreed to turn him into a cyborg with enhanced speed so he can save his little sister and punish the one responsible for her kidnapping.
#14 – Delusional Detective
An unnamed detective who wounds up believing that everyone is a suspect no thanks to one hell of a headache
#13 – Olivia
Daughter of the founder of an amateur wrestling league, Olivia, at only the age of 16, became one of the top members of the high school wrestling club. Â Her arrogance is matched only by her overwhelmingly “superb” strategies to outwit her opponents.
Seeing herself as the “queen”, Â she claims to have no equal and is much better than anyone else in the school.
But once Denise, her peer and the (rumored) younger sister of a delinquent brawler enters the wrestling club with the possibility of being able to surpass her, Olivia becomes enraged and attempts to turn the entire school against her.
With every student on Denise’s tail, Olivia’s plan seems to be working… Â But what will happen if her father finds out about this scheme?
#12 – The Melee Combatant Warrior Guy
A mysterious combantant with a ridiculously long title, “The Melee Combatant Warrior Guy”.
He may claim to be a pro combatant, but in reality, he’s nothing but an absolute loser.
#11 – Experimental Cyborg Type Human Taser
Another unwilling victim of the mad scientist’s experiments. Â This time, it’s a cyborg who has been given limbs that generate electrical currents. Â Because she doesn’t know how to deactivate this, she has grown to hate her new form, and wishes to have, at the very least, normal cybernetic limbs.
If she can’t find out how to control or remove her weapons, she fears that more people will die because of her.
#10 – Experimental Cyborg Type Blizzard Cold
Type Blizzard Cold is another of the mad scientist’s transformation of a human subject. Â She is given robotc hands that allow her to freeze targets using an extremely cold liquid. Â Aware that she was transformed by a madman, Cold immediately betrays him and leads the rest of the subjects out of his lab. Â Having a strong sense of justice, she uses her new weapons against criminals and evildoers instead.
#9 – Experimental Cyborg Type Grunt
A mad scientest has taken a select few humans and decided to test out his latest cybernetic technology on them. Â If successful, he will do the same to other humans to build an army of killing machines. Â Type Grunt is just a basic cyborg. Â But he doesn’t want to kill anyone, and is too lazy to do any real fighting.
#8 – Some Hunter Guy
This man claims to be a hunter, but has he actually done any hunting? Â Just who is this guy anyway, and what are his intentions?
#7 – Dennis the Mystery Brawler
Dennis is a man who frequently wanders the streets looking for fights. Â With a large number of detectives on his tail, he may have to reconsider his profession…
Rumor has it that he has a little sister who wants to be a wrestler…
#6 – Denise
Denise is a young high school student who, after joining the local wrestling club, finds herself the most frequent target of her peers.
#5 – Alexandria “Alex” Blue
Alexandria Blue, or Alex to her friends and younger brother (Trevor), is a cyborg vigilante who not only has to deal with criminals on a daily basis, but also her obnoxiously lazy brother.
#4 – Trevor Blue the “Stylish” Detective
Trevor Blue is a detective of stylish proportions… or so he believes.
He’s more interested in taking naps than actually investigating things.
#3 – Jason the “Bare Fisted” Marine
Jason is another so-called “marine”. Â Except that he doesn’t use any weapons. Â This means that he will have to find ways to outsmart his enemies.
#2 – Brandon the Cyber Menace
Brandon, having been transformed into a cyborg warrior, is a major threat. Â He is one of the generals of an focused on taking over the world.
