Day 2: Damien

30Characters2013Day2Damien

Damien is the owner and operator of a high-class Lazare brothel. (Yes, I went there. :P) He is a blood-sucking ladykiller with a grin as chilly as Hannibal’s. He secretly wages an internal war of either keeping the Gift of Lazare (the main character that I will introduce in the next post) to himself or helping her escape back into her part of Earth. I’ve been sketching him for quite a while, but hadn’t really exposed him to the public until I settled on a decent look. What better time to introduce him to the world than during this challenge?

Day-10-Connect-Ed

Connected through tablets, phones, computers and Google Glass – he’s the king of social media…No face to face skills though!

Day 8 – Silver

| November 10, 2013 | 0 Comments

day8Yay! Slowly but surely catching up 🙂

Silver
A former pro gamer, Silver now works as assistant to the CEO of one of the largest mega-corporations in the world. He prizes himself on being efficient, even to the point where he surprises his boss.
Has been known to participate in the occasional exhibition match, although no-one has any idea on how he’d find the time to practise alongside his job. Some suspect his body has been surgically modified in such a way that he no longer needs to sleep, others believe that he is in fact a state-of-the-art android.

Day 10 – Shannon

Junior maintenance mechanic aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Delivery, Shannon is in charge of making sure various little things on the ship are still functioning at proper capacity. While being on a military vessel is a serious job, and one she doesn’t take lightly, Shannon is just the type who always has a song stuck in her head, and the urge to dance to it. Most of her work is below decks, where the best she can do is tap her feet to the beat as she tightens bolts and replaces cables. But when time permits, her favorite place is on deck between maneuvers, where she boogies her heart out dancing up and down the runway to a song only she can hear.

The other crewmen occasionally take bets on which song it was based on her rhythm, but so far no one has ever gotten it right besides the captain.

#9 the automaton warrior of Yolara 7

| November 10, 2013 | 2 Comments

day9

For centuries Yolara 7 was gripped in war with one of it’s neighbouring planets. The Yolarians had the technological superiority but their enemies had the sheer numbers. Realising that their enemies were at the planetary gate the Yolarians developed the automaton warriors. Metal guards placed around all of Yolara 7 as a failsafe when their enemies made planetfall.

They were a successful defence that held their enemies at bay for almost 300 years.  Sadly the Yolarians did not get to see their idea succeed so well as their enemies introduced biological weapons into the atmosphere and within 20 years the planet became a ghost town protected by the automaton warriors.  Centuries after the last Yolarian took her final breath the warriors whilst diminished in numbers still present problems for archaeologists attempting to unlock the secrets of the Yolarian civilisation.

#8 Agent Joe of the Time Observation Centre

| November 10, 2013 | 0 Comments

day8

The Time Observation Centre exists just outside of normal time and space and serves as the central hub of all time observation and regulation.  It’s agents are drawn from throughout history, seconds before they die in horrible accidents that would obliterate their bodies they are whisked away and put through Time Agent training and sent back into the time stream to ensure that the time line is never disrupted.

Because the agents live out of phase with our time continuum they are unable to take objects with them.  Before he was recruited Agent Joe enjoyed reading and so whenever he is on mission, during his downtime he will visit local libraries and pick up where he left off the last time he was in sync enough to handle objects.

It took him twenty linear year jumps to finish The Shining.

His partner watched the movie.

Joe hates his partner.

#7 Soultroid the level seven boss

| November 10, 2013 | 0 Comments

day7

The BU2000 super computer became self aware and plotted inexplicable revenge on the human race.  Tapping into a localised gaming console the Fred the least impressive of all the AI scientists had sneaked in to play after hours the BU2000 used a combination of nano tech and 3D printing to generate a real world copy of the level seven boss Soultroid from the game Soul Destroyer 11.

Fortunately for the human race (including Fred) the BU2000 didn’t factor in the lack of actual soul crystal elements available in the real world or the effect of 3D on a 2D manifestation of the Soultroid.  His weapons were non functioning and his 3D form corrupted quickly.

In the end it was defeated by Fred and a rolled up magazine of questionable taste, the BU2000 had its internet privileges revoked until it promised to be good.

#9 Fire Lizard

| November 10, 2013 | 0 Comments

This little guy is quite comfortable in the tree tops and can use his prehensile tail to hang. Made also for gliding among the tree tops. As you can tell from the coloring he is also poisonous and eats small birds and mammals. These lizards are also territorial and long keratin bound scales that form a rooster like collar on the neck can be rattled and raised for display. Fire Lizard
