Day 12: Lyon

| November 12, 2012 | 0 Comments

The Master

There is a person known as “the master of disguise” or “the man with a thousand faces” or for simply “Le Maitre” the Master). Very little is known about the Master. There are only three facts know by the highest authority of the French government:
1. It has been confirmed that Master’s true body is physically female.
2. He/She is from Lyon, France ( and thus used as his/her name till they find the real one)
3. His/Her current “evening wear”

Lyon is a person of incredible almost supernatural like skills that allow her/him to become any person in image, mind and talent. His/her mind acts as a storage place, collecting skills, talents, and mannerisms from old disguises that can be used for news one or when ever it is needed. This a double-edged sword for the master because, once he/she is a certain person, he/she is truly that person (dreams, loves, faults and all) and much function as the person through out the case. Because the disguises are as true as the real thing, no one is sure if the master has a TRUE personality.

Lyon does however have “evening wear”, which are disguises he/she relaxes in when he/she is done with a certain mission or task. The master have had both female and male evening wear, making penning a gender on him/her very difficult. Even the pronoun “Master” was chosen out of the fact that the disguises are often male since males tend to be in higher positions in secret organizations.

Lyon’s current evening wear is of a young masseuse with a fasciation with theater.

DAY 12: THE JURYMAN 2502

CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY: In the late 21st Century man began to reach out into deep space long term travel and colonization. Several in and extra solar system establishments sprung up including one funded by a joint American/Japanese/Saudi operation of the colony York Al Medinah Edo after the home cities of each corporate entity.  By the early 22nd Century the great powers of Earth had become embroiled in a Third World War.  The colonies realized that they wanted no part of what would be mutually assured destruction of the home-world   The 12 colonies seceded from Earth jurisdiction and formed a confederacy for mutual commerce and defense.  Over the next 400 years the colonies joined other worlds and non-human civilizations to form the entity known as The United Stellar Conference.

York Al Medinah Edo became major industrial hubworld and as such became prey to many of the problems a large urban center suffers.  Corruption, crime and social unrest became rampant.  From this world came a man by the name of Mohammed Alan Akita, who worked for a cybernetics firm known as TransCyber Interplanetary.  Mohammed was a brilliant cyber-neurologist, who was on the verge of developing a technique of downloading human consciousness itself. Unfortunately his research was cut short when he stumbled upon information of what his work was to be used for, and subsequently murdered in his lab, and made to look like an accident.  But before his death Mohammed was able to transfer his consciousness into inter-webscape.  Mohammed eventually found a way to in cyberspace to construct a robotic body for him to implant his consciousness.  Mohammed had a passion for the Heroic Age adventurers of the early 20th to mid 21st Centuries.  His favorite were two men of different era’s known as the Juryman.  Mohammed took on this identity to do battle with the corrupt and criminal elements of York Al Medinah Edo and beyond as the new Juryman!

| November 12, 2012 | 0 Comments

Post#11 — Tiamat: Is the chief villian in a series of characters I call ” The Cosmic Fire Action Heroes”. Why call them the “action heroes”? Because the title “Power Rangers” is already taken. Right, I have my own Power Rangers team… well, Action Heroes. 😉

Tiamat is a cosmic creature of chaos. She was known to the anceint peopele of Sumer (present day Iraq) as the chaos dragon and mother to monsters. At the dawn of history she, her consort Absu , and her monsterous children tried to take over this world, destroying all sense of order and sanity. The records of Sumer say these monsters were cast out, and that it was the ancient gods of Sumer that did it. However it was done, Sumer and her monster children are back to finish what they did the first time — total subjectation of our world.

Tiamat, the Chaos Dragon, has an uncountable number of tentacles. Some are for grasping and moving, and others have heads attached their ends. If Tiamat need a new child/monster to do her bidding, she only has to place a head on the ground, and that head will grow a body. Once fully formed, the head and body detach from the mother tentacle and walk freely of it own will. Each  monster child  has its own powers and abilities. These beings are then sent out into the world to destroy and kill as Tiamat commands.

And when a threat to world arises, heroes stand forward to fight the evil and aid the weak. In this time of need come the Cosmic Fire Action Heroes. Each hero is enpowered with the mystic spirit from the natural world, complete with weapons to aid them. Also, each has a giant transforming robot in battles with extremely large threats.

More forces of Good and Evil will appear in upcoming posts.

[Side note: For those that have been following my posts so far — my apologies. I’ve started three different series of characters (Chrono Tigers, Foxy and the Toon Agents, and now the Cosmic Fire Action Heroes) and have so far been mixing them all up. My original plan was to go through each series in turn. But, time and scheduling have screwed me up so that I have put whatever material I have onhand in these posts in order to keep up. Hopefully Some sanity will be coming soon. ]

Day 12: El Mad Conquistador

| November 12, 2012 | 0 Comments

Franthithqo Legarro was back in the gold digging colonial era, an immeasurably ambitious conquistador, until his whole platoon fell into a death trap and a witch cursed him to live forever, in order to remember all the murders he has done with his bloodthirsty platoon. Well, that’s how he became a living skeleton haunting the living, and insanity took control over him.

Yellow Crystal Star spends most of his time traveling the galaxies by portal warping from black hole to black hole. He can travel at the speed of 12 light years per hour. He’s currently working on moving that jump speed up to 20 ly/h. His goal is to be the fastest and most brightest star in all the universe.

10 – VERTICAL GROWER

| November 12, 2012 | 0 Comments

For this year’s challenge, I decided to try something different from my massive day-by-day story of characters that I put together last year.  Inspired by the incomparable AXE COP, I decided to turn the creative reins over to my 3 year old son.  I wrote out the alphabet and had him create a character for each letter.  He told me about the new superhero and guided me on their designs.  It should be noted that all word balloon dialogue was also created by my three year old.  So here we go, in no particular order…

VERTICAL GROWER

My father in-law was an elementary art teacher before he retired, and was teaching my son a song he made up about horizontal, vertical and diagonal directions.  Putting vertical together with the concept of growing, my son decided vertical grower would be a great character.  I’m not sure where her rage comes from.  Her digital clock, belt buckle would be handy though, for herself and others.

HOOK MAN

A lot of hooks and a desire to put bad guys in jail!

LADYBUG MAN

I thought this was going to be a cute, bug character.

Nope, it’s a three-armed man in a suit of armor with a badge and predilection for climbing on automobiles.

07 – MMMMM-MAN

MMMMM-MAN

MMMMM-MAN started out covered in the letter ‘M’ and eating a carrot (you know “Mmmmm! This carrot is delicious!”)  My son’s love of cars and trucks (which will make other appearances during this challenge) manifest as a big rig in his other hand.  I was told he wore broken glasses, I added the tape to hold them together.  Both my son and Mmmmm-Man were confused about this.  The final touch that really pushes this character into his own,  with what I am sure is a fascinating back story, is his cape made of 100 hands.  Yep, a CAPE MADE OF HANDS.

06 – BORIS the CANDLE BOY

BORIS the CANDLE BOY

He was supposed to be just Candle Boy for the letter ‘C’.  But I was made to change it to his proper name, Boris.  Boris is sad because his book was stolen.  He does wear a snazzy bee costume, though.

05 – Ms. GIRAFFE-SPIDER CRAB & Dr. George Pleasepump

Ms. GIRAFFE-SPIDER CRAB & Dr. GEORGE PLEASEPUMP

In an unconscious move, my drawing ability was tested with the creation of Ms. GIRAFFE-SPIDER CRAB.

She started out as Ms. GIRAFFE, with a robotic neck that could stretch all the way to “Nana and Papa’s house”… that’s 90 miles.  When what her legs looked like, I was told they were spider crab legs.  So it was now Ms. GIRAFFE-SPIDER CRAB.

While HOUSEMAN had a talking belt buckle, I asked about her buckle.  I was informed that it was a very small doctor named, George Pleasepump.  Of course, it is.

HOUSEMAN

A number of my son’s creations start out very straight forward, then they veer off into unsettling territories.  Take HOUSEMAN, for instance.  He has a house on his chest and is really strong (okay)… he has a talking house belt buckle (sure)… and he has all of the eyes in the world (wait, what?).

APPLE CAT

Me: We should create a character for ‘A.’

Son: How about, Apple Cat?

Me: Okay.  What does he look like?

Son: He is as big as a man with an apple on his chest…

Me: Alright…

Son:  … and a rocket pack so he can fly up and change lightbulbs.  And he wears sunglasses.

Me: …

LIGHT-SUPE

One morning my son said he had an idea for a new superhero called LIGHT-SUPE who was shaped like a circle and had a flashlight attached to his head.  The overalls were a interesting fashion choice as well.  As to the “Beep, beep, beep, boop, boop!”… I have no idea, but my wife loves this character.
