Day 6: Major Loose Cannon
It all started when young Thomas Kilbourne, age 12, lost all of his Boy Scouts badges in an terrifying camp explosion. At 18, when he tried to join the U.S. forces, he was judged too unpredictable for the military. It took years for him to finally find his home: with a Civil War reenactment society. But soon his comrades in the Union began to worry about him too. Especially when he started showing up to battle in 21st century military standard issue, and suggesting unconventional guerrilla tactics to defeat the Confederates.Â
