Brawling Princess
This is a princess sketch for my upcoming game, Princess of the Hill. Here is a link with some further info:
Enjoy!
Day 7: Talon
I had actually drawn out another version which I liked better earlier but I am getting frazzled. After yet another earthquake and being under a thunderstorm, flood, tornado watch….. and then my computer shutting down mid-drawing…Yep LOL I am frazzled. Anyways Talon is what I came up with tonight. Sort of a dragon/bird ish creature Talon sports long claws on his wings. He cannot fly but can use the claws to climb some and can get about as much distance as a chicken when fluttering. He is a bit bottom heavy with his thick heavily muscled legs.
Day #5- Laud
(sorry for the sloppiness, I scribbled this up to try and play catch up with all the days I’ve fallen behind on :[ )
Laud is an anthropomorphic bat. He practices in the arts of dark magic and loves to dabble in the art of voodoo. He’s not exactly sane or right in the head by any means.
#7 – Shaylah the Succubus
Shaylah is a failed succubus who was exiled to earth because she was unable to seduce anyone.  She has a natural tendency to flirt with everyone she meets, but she isn’t interested in going further then that.  She can seem a bit creepy if you don’t know her but she really is interested in learning more about humans.  She misses her home world but she knows she can never return unless she learns how to seduce people.
#6 Granite Slickrock
Granite Slickrock was a smooth salesman who loved his job. He liked it so much, he stayed awake the entire month of December to make his sales goals. On December 23rd he passed out at his desk and was decorated like a Christmas tree by his co-workers.
#2 Speedbump
Art by Michael Powell (@mpowelljr)
Words by Rolando Garcia (@roshow)
Where to start with Speedbump? Well, she’s a speedster. She was always hyper as a child but no one expected it to get so literal in her teenage years. Since then she’s been on the move and constantly plugged in.
She facebooks, she tweets, she emails, she texts, she calls, she’ll swing by your house: Speedbump always stays in touch. If you need to get a message to or from someone, she’s the one who’ll get it, if she hasn’t delivered it already.
Notice those big headphones? She never takes them off. She’ll have a whole conversation with you while listening to a podcast or a new album or eavesdropping on some phone line she’s hacked into. Speedbump multitasks, even conversations.
Speedbump works as a freelance fact checker for magazines and newspapers. She loves the job because she’s constantly learning about new subjects. Along the way, Speedbump has picked up all manner of random facts, figures and skills that often come in handy.
However, Speedbump has been known to come to a grinding halt and get blazed. Often. She loves to get high and sit on her couch, slowing down and catching her breath before the world zooms past her. The superhero community doesn’t love that Speedbump isn’t secretive about her habit but she’s barely a B-lister in their world so she flies under the radar.
And she likes it fine that way!
#7 – Stanley
Stanley was an average villager until he stumbled upon a mysterious sword.
Instead of using it to fight monsters, he decided that he must figure out who the sword originally belonged to, but not everyone is willing to give him the answers he wants…
Apologies for the quality here, as I was in a bit of a rush.
#8 – Biyu ShÄ“ngguÄng – Scientist, Pilot
Humanoid Android – Sentient AI – Alpha Class Intellect:Â 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 350 lbs. Constructed on Harata II, Toranor System by Chung Guo Designs and Engineering. Commissioned by Corva Military Facilities as companion/pilot for Resurrection Soldier, Majoris Thomas Wilks.
Primary functions include: Pilot and gunner – capable of AI interface with Classes 1-4 sized ships, technical repair of all ships systems, internal and external, with specialties in sensors, scanners and communications equipment, systems and decryption. She is also trained in Resurrection Frame, nano-construction and nano-design technologies. Android body, unique design and registration, combat capable, fully functional. Able to interface with combat modules 1-3 and upgradable with adaptive learning software.
Biyu ShÄ“ngguÄng is a member of the Conscientia, an amalgam intelligence housed in a humanoid body. Her body was designed to be both a pilot and a scientific support operative for technologies used by the Resurrection Frame. Any successful covert operative utilized by the Corps is assigned such an android because of their durability, programmability and longevity. Since Resurrection Corps members are potentially immortal, it was decided they would be paired with android companions who could work in and survive their potentially dangerous lifestyles. By the standards of the Imperium she is considered a sentient being and afforded all of the rights of any other Imperium citizen. Her work is considered contractual and she is able to leave her employment at the end of any contract period. She has worked for the Majoris for nearly twenty years and is due for a contract renewal soon.
Being fully combat capable, her preference is for dual pulse pistols, custom-made, capable of being used fully automatic and tied to her visual cortex for pinpoint accuracy up to 100 meters. She can also use any human compatible weaponry found in the Empire. She prefers ranged combat and practices regularly to maintain her precision. She is capable of using dual flex swords as well and is an above average hand to hand combatant. As an Alpha-class sentient, she is capable of both adaptation and learning and is constantly improving her skills and interests. In her off-time, she is a know abstract artist in a variety of mediums, including virtual realm development, sculpture, and fractal arranging and modeling.
Biyu is over one hundred years old and despite her technological origins, appears to be a human female of indeterminate age. She has mastered human mannerisms and affectations. Using stealth technology, she can physically pass for an anatomically correct human under most modern scan technology and can pass a physical inspection as well. She has had three previous contracts as a Resurrection Corps pilot/companion, but this one has been both her longest and most enjoyed contract.
Character inspired by the artwork of Warren Louw – will appear in my novel Revenant: Resurrection – May 2012
#8: Carol
Carol spends most of her time doing crosswords and baking cookies. Also, did you guys know that a week is now just three days? This is because I am tired of drawing old people. Regularly random (oxymoronic too, apparently) characters will return soon as Old People Week draws to a premature close!
