#29 Ga’Lor and Gi’vor

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

Alien power armor pieces have strange effects and when Giaus and Gianna place the gauntlets on their  hands they were granted abilities. When they join hands they become Ga’Lor and Gi’vor, two bodies sharing one mind. It is not exactly the best arrangement, as normally it would be one mind. Since they won’t allow one or the other two wear both gloves it is two minds sharing two bodies at the same time.

(Totally hosed up this drawing but I wanted to get it posted before the day’s end.)

#29 – Hangover Hercules

| November 29, 2010 | 1 Comment

At the moment of this post, I wish I were this guy. Hangover Hercules is able to overcome any ill effects of beer, or any other alcohol for that matter. Yes, he may have been out late last night, pounding down the brews, but he will be in top notch game form today. He is the envy of every frat-boy. Ever.

#26 Dragonfly Droid

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

The Dragonfly is an airborne combat model droid. It measures about the same size as a fighter jet and has the maneuverablility to match. In fact, it’s their agility that makes them so dangerous to the human fleet, often outflying and outgunning human ships whenever they’re sighted. The one thing they can’t match the human jets for is top speed, so the main tactic when dragonflies are sighted? RUN.

#25 Scorpion Droid

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

When the droids redesigned themselves into new bodies during the droid wars, human psychology played a significant role in the resulting form. The machines didn’t want a form that just functioned, they wanted a form that would be intimidating, decimating their human enemies emotionally before anyone ever pulled a trigger.

A 14-foot long metal scorpion does that quite nicely.

Beyond the form, though, the Scorpio is a combat droid that is equipped with shield generators and a mean set of claws. It has no projectile payload simply because the machines felt the maneuverability, efficient stabbing weaponry, and sheer fear factor made it an effective enough ground combat droid.

The machines don’t like to waste resources, like extra guns, if they don’t have to.

#24 Mosquito Droid

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

The mosquito is a surveillance droid. It only measures about 1 ft tall, but these little guys are capable of sensing many different kinds of radio waves, light waves, infrared, ultra violet light, and even EMF imaging.

#20 Jeoucuré, The Seamstress

| November 29, 2010 | 2 Comments

20 繰女

Jeoucuré • The Seamstress

More than anything she is known for, Jeoucuré is perfect at stitching together things. It can’t be helped that, while shedding, certain souls tend to ‘tear’ integral parts of their Selves, so that while their mortal layers are off, important self-awareness memories and sensations are distorted. Given the Parade’s strict ‘dress code’, some participants need to see Jeoucuré for stitching.

She has sewn together identities, broken names, old memories and space-time anomalies, and has made pincushions out of excess sentiments. The red eye that-sees-all can thread any needle, and has several times taken roll call for all the angels that dance on its end. Her ‘hair’ is what she uses to stitch all things together, though she needs to pick the proper locks for certain jobs, as they can get quite finicky.

#28 Gianna

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

Alien technology, two best friends at odds, the mix is in. Giaus and Gianna found a box in the woods, inside were two 3 fingered gloves. The two decided it was among the most awesome find of their treasure hunting career, of course they were only 12 at the time. Both wanted the gloves and eventually decided to each take one. Within the gloves is a power( and some wicked glowing face tattoos). Giaus’ allows him to summon energy to protect himself and others. Gianna’s allowed her to fly, Giaus was not amused as he had always wanted to fly(Girls rule, boys drool). She refused to trade(I didn’t want his boy germs) and the two did battle for some time(He hits like a girl, a weak girl.) till a mysterious stranger arrived(he was a total perv). This stranger came to collect the gloves and use their powers for his own goals(Pervy goals I am sure). Giaus and Gianna both agreed he was far too creepy(Giaus finally came to his senses) and teamed up to take him out. When the two joined hands they become something even more powerful… (Yeah, I’m still freaked out.)

#30 – Thor

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

Everyone knows Thor. Thor is Thor. Thor is the most recognized God in the Mythoscape. He’s translated this fame and recognition into a career as Mythology’s greatest Action Star. He makes action movies, lives the life of a celebrity and makes his assistant, Tyr completely miserable.

In Thor’s latest movie (untitled – still in production), he plays Baldr in a climactic battle with Seth, the Shattered army and the giant Mecha-Kraken. Rumor has it, production is stalled due to complaints from the J5 about the script. Some people are under the impression Baldr didn’t single-handedly defeat the Mecha-Kraken and the Shattered Army. But that hasn’t been confirmed yet.

#29 – Frigg

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

Frigg is the wife of Odin and Queen of Asgard. In the Mythoscape, she’s the ultimate den-mother. She heads up the scouts, goes to all the PTA meetings, Sells Tupperware at parties, and most recently, became Thor’s agent. Frigg stubbled into the job when acting as a consultant on Thor’s latest blockbuster film, in which he plays Baldr. Frigg took care of him between takes and he hired her on the spot.

#28 – Tyr

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

Tyr is the old Norse god of single combat, victory and glory. He let Fenrir bite his hand off so other gods could try and tie him up. In the Mythoscape, Tyr is the personal assistant to this worlds greatest Action star, Thor. He’s always on the phone taking care of Thor’s every need. The heads-up-display, wrist pad and interchangeable attachements (expresso machine, bathroom buddy, etc.) only help him to do his job. On occasion, Tyr has lived his dream on screen as well, he’s occasionally Thor’s stunt double.

And yes, I know that cell phone joke is worn out but I drew him with his mouth open.

#29 – Crush Tremor

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

Formerly one of the Drum Walkers in Nagado’s drum core, Crush came in contact with a Shrill Hermit and now plays only as host for this parasite. Crush never was the nicest gholhem you’d meet but now he’s corrupted by the Shrill he’s downright super-dangerous.

Before Crush was corrupted he’d spend his days practicing to be the loudest drum gholhem not that he’d want Nagado’s approval openly – but any time Nagado paid Crush a compliment Crush would be noticeably less surly that day.

Crush’s friends theorized that he’d be better off pairing with a mystical instrument, feeling that Crush’s biggest problem was loneliness.

Technically that’s not an issue anymore. Crush would like to be rid of the parasite controlling his mind but it seems there’s nothing he can do. Unless there’s some crazy mystical instrument available willing to join in the fight via mental link.

#27 Jerry Irvine

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

Jerry Irvine, retired comic book artist. His biggest claim to fame was creating the Golden Age comic book superhero “Captain Omega.” Not that it was a success or anything. In fact, if not for comic book geeks and the internet, it would be forgotten by now. At this point in his very long life, poor Jerry would just like to be left in peace. Fat chance. Against his wishes he will be forced to become a mentor to Rick, the real life Omega Kid.

What follows is an excerpt from The Omega Kid, episode 2 (you can read episode 1 here):

INT. JERRY’S BUILDING – 25TH FLOOR

BING! The elevator doors slide open and Rick and Lawrence step off it. They walk down the hallway until they find 25D.

They stare at it. Rick reaches out, hesitates, then knocks.

Beat.

No answer. Lawrence eggs Rick on with a nudge to the shoulder. Rick swats him away, before knocking again.

From the other side they hear the door being unlocked.

ONE LOCK. TWO LOCKS. THREE LOCKS.

Slowly it opens just a crack. JERRY IRVINE peeks through it.

JERRY
Who is it?

RICK
Mr. Irvine, it’s Rick from the comic book store. Remember me?

Jerry moves closer to the door to get a better look. He sees Ricks smiling at him and waving.

JERRY
I don’t know you, go away.

He SLAMS the door in their face.

LAWRENCE
That’s messed up.

Rick knocks again, harder this time.

RICK
Please Mr. Irvine! You gave me this Amulet, you said it was a toy! But it’s not!

JERRY (O.C.)
I don’t know what you’re talking about kid; I’ve never seen you; now go away!

From the other side of the door, the locks slam back into place. ONE LOCK. TWO LOCKS. THREE LOCKS. Rick backs away from the door. They stand there, thinking what to do next.

LAWRENCE
Turn the door into pancakes and we’ll eat our way through.

RICK
I don’t think that’s a good idea.

JERRY (O.C.)
I still hear you out there. GO. AWAY.

Through the door, they hear shuffling footsteps hobbling along with a cane, walking back into the apartment.

LAWRENCE
This guy is tough. I like him.

#26 Lawrence

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

Lawrence is Rick’s excitable best friend, trusted confidant and practically an 11 year old technology prodigy. You won’t find him anywhere without his trusty smartphone, from which he can access anything he needs. He’s also a bit of a smart aleck. Okay, a lot of a smart aleck. Getting in trouble is easy for him, which makes him very good at getting out of trouble too. Most importantly, though, he makes sure Rick doesn’t lose sight of just how much fun being a superhero can be.

What follows is an excerpt from The Omega Kid, episode 2 (you can read episode 1 here):

EXT. RICK’S BUILDING

Rick comes bounding down the steps. Lawrence is waiting for him. The slap each other five and get right down to business.

RICK
What did you find out?

Lawrence pulls out his cell phone and reads from it.

LAWRENCE
His full name is Jerrold Irvine. He created Captain Omega in 1941.

RICK
That’s a long time ago.

LAWRENCE
Yeah. Our parents weren’t even born.

Rick pulls the Omega Amulet out of his pocket

RICK
Does it say anything about how this Omega Amulet
thing really works? And why he gave it to me?

LAWRENCE
Of course not, which is why we’re going to ask him ourselves.
(holding up his phone, triumphantly)
I found his address! 44th Street and 2nd Ave.

RICK
That’s in the city. I’m not allowed to go into the city.

LAWRENCE
Are you allowed to carry around a magic amulet that
changes things and gives you a cool costume?

Rick looks at the Amulet.

RICK
Probably not…

LAWRENCE
Exactly! Come on!

RICK
I don’t have any money.

LAWRENCE
I got you covered.

Lawrence reaches into his pocket and pulls out two Metrocards.

LAWRENCE
These are extra subway passes from trips with my
parents. They make me go to shows and museums
with them. Boring stuff. Anyway, here you go.

Lawrence hands a Metrocard over to Rick who takes it, reluctantly at first. Then with the Metrocard in one hand and Amulet in the other he feels inspired. He looks up with renewed confidence.

RICK
Yeah, let’s do this.

#28 The Profenso brothers

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

This duo started as a little sketch exercise ! The dude on the left I used the whole wire frame guy thing and built him piece by piece. the big guy was a little quicker in the making. maybe one of these days I’ll get this drawing thing down, I imagine these guys fight like brothers but you better not cross one or the other wont be far behind. I named them Gus and Henry . some good old fashion  names so you know they are the good guys.

29.5 El The Demon

| November 29, 2010 | 0 Comments

El The Demon is an indie wrestler claimed to have come up from Lucha Libre (Mexican wrestling focused on larger than vibrant personalities with masks and high flying, fast paced wrestling). Unfortunately, he doesn’t realize that “El” and “The” mean the same thing, and the bookers don’t seem to notice or care, so he looks like and idiot. He’s a heel (bad guy to you non-wrestling fans out there), but try as he may he just can’t seem to get any heat (boos, hatred, the like). Mostly it’s just laughs…
