#18 – Jim Clark
Jim Clark is stuck in the hotel out in the middle of no where with Jack Crasher. Just like Jack, he doesn’t remember how he has no memory. The difference between Jack and Jim- Jim doesn’t care.
#19 Reverend Celia Dalton
Reverend Dalton is the head of the Valhalla station chapel. She tries her best to keep up faith and warmth in times of war and inspire parishioners but her job is an uphill battle. The chapel itself is actually a converted storage compartment that makes a funny crackling sound near the crucifix and in times of war, much of her time is spent consoling victims of tragedy.
#19 Chara
Screw the eerily gorgeous songs that most sirens are known to sing. Chara here would much rather belt out retro pop tunes than lure guys to her rock any day! It still winds up snagging her the occasional sailor, funnily enough; she usually ignores him until she’s done singing, says hi in a friendly way, and nudges him back in the direction he came. Maybe she gives him a kiss if he manages to slip in a compliment. But in the end, for this girl, the music is all that matters.
Fun Fact: I had “Only Yesterday” by the Carpenters stuck in my head when I started sketching. Looks like there’s a correlation here…

#18 Protest T. Protist
Cover Slip Junction was a popular educational children’s program that ran on public television from 1972-1977. Each episode started with an animated intro showing a group of kids clustered around a microscope, and as they looked through the eyepiece the point-of-view would swoop down through the microscope and onto the slide — presumably into the world of Cover Slip Junction.
The cast of characters was comprised of various fancifully designed microscopic organisms, which were portrayed by a mixture of actors in primitive animatronic suits, and puppets.
Protest T. Protest was one of the “Protozoa Pals” – single celled organisms that taught children the alphabet by spelling out words using their letter-shaped organelles. His gimmick was perpetually disagreeing with all the other protozoa, usually in matters regarding spelling and grammar. The image above was taken from the short-lived Marvel comics adaptation from 1980.
