#5 – Circa
Â
The youngest of the pioneering team of Pastronauts, Circa was seperated from her group when a voyage to the Jurassic Age attracted the attention of ravenous velociraptors! Risking her own life, she ensured her team’s return back to the future, but decided to journey to the heart of the Hero Age for first hand exploration of her favorite era!
#12 Fooshnickins
Half monkey, half turtle, all pugilist.
(Had a little help from Julia V., age 10 on this one.)
#5 – ELECTRISSA
The name says it all! This is another collaboration, this time with my daughter (see original creator concept below)! Another great experience getting my kids to think creatively and having fun doing it!
#11 Crosswire
Crosswire, aka Kevin Suitor is a former paratrooper turned superhero. Harnessing the power of electricity manipulation, Crosswire can create wires of pure electricity and use electricity to safely dive through the sky and land unscathed.
Suitor was a good soldier in good standing that partook in a special government experiment to join an elite sect for special operations. Through the process he gained these powers and became on of the elite. He just didn’t know what he was getting himself into, and still plays the good little soldier, taking orders, unwittingly carrying out acts of treason at the command of the United States government.
================================
A little late with this one, busy day yesterday.
As you can see, I moved on from Gonzogoose strip characters and just created something off the top of my head. Now it gets exciting as I have no idea what each day will hold from here on out. Hopefully I’ll get #12 in by midnight this time!
#12 Squadron Leader Leon Zantha
Leon is the Odin Squadron 4 leader and the male counterpart to Priss (although spiritually, he’s more like the male Casey). He’s your quintessential meat head. Whether it’s going all out in a battle, hitting the bars, hitting on girls, or eating a really big steak, Leon is all about it. To call him a jock is an understatement.
As far as assets goes, he’s a very enthusiastic fighter and he’ll always have his bros’ backs. However, he’s not too bright and has all the social graces to fill a thimble. His track record with women seems to be much better in his head than in reality because he has an incredible knack for aggravating most women he meets. And even to the people he cares about the most, he can be highly overprotective. He has good intentions that usually seem to go awry.
Overall, Leon isn’t a bad guy. He’s just kind of a gorilla.
#12 Snakeskin Ed
Snakeskin Ed or Eddy is a rowdy guy. Likes drinkin beer and lighting his own farts. But, his favorite thing is playing with snakes.Yes you can’t have enough anti venom while this guy is around. So grab an ice cold PBR ,make sure your stocked up on butane and steel toe snake proof boots cause your in for one hell of a time. (Just don’t pass out in the anacondas cage)
#11 Tophat Storkington
Coasting a bit on this one – need to charge up my batteries for the second third…
Tophat is just an ordinary stork with a bit of extra verve because of his jaunty little top hat and bow tie.
The other storks put up with his antics okay – he’s a pretty decent tap dancer.
Day 6 ~ Lightbulb Bug
After Owl City captured all the lightning bugs in a jar and murdered them the only source of insect light left to the world was the Light Bulb Bug! Its part light bulb part bug and all smiles!~
#15 Xenos
Halfway point.
Here’s another old one that is seeing the light of day after 11-12 years. I created this guy when I was living in Seattle, and I actually drew him up…I just couldn’t find the drawing. Fail.
Concept: Xenos is an alien that was sent here to destroy the Earth (yeah, yeah, Invincible and Omni Man, but I assure you…I created his guy in 1999). But he fell in love with our culture…specifically, our food. He’s a shapeshifter, which enables him to experience life on Earth as anyone…which means he can eat anywhere.
Design: Gave him no color and no distinguishing marks because he shapeshifts. His costume has an Egyptian feel to it, as his culture, on his native planet, was very influenced by Egypt (again, it sounds like I took that from Hawkman, but once more…1999).
I realize how cartoony this looks, but the original drawing that I did in ’99 used a Bruce Timm animated template, so when I put this together, I wanted to try to make him look as close to my original drawing as possible. He’s not necessarily supposed to be rendered like this, but it helped me to see it better.
EDIT: Fellow 30 CC Challenger, Micah Weltsch, drew up a version. Love it! See above!
