Too hot, you say? Bah! Babylonians worshipped me as their sun god. My soul burns of the hottest fires. I say let’s kick up the heat.

Gorgeous! I really love your work on all of these characters so far. And I love the process pics.
Thanks Sarah! I think I’ll record one, beginning to end and put that up with it. Should be in the 2-2.5 hour range…maybe I’ll speed it up and publish it as a time-lapse?
Awesome! I love your color use! Makes him look like a very ominous being indeed!
Right on! Thanks Ethan 🙂
Beautiful work! I don’t know how you’re finding the time to do these. They are so fully fleshed out. Guess they don’t call it a challenge for nothin’!
Thanks King! I’m behind a day and some change, so I’m barely finding the time… Also I’ve been working on various comic pitches that these are being used for, so I’m putting a little more polish on them. 😉
Another gorgeous piece! I often wonder if you really need another person to tell you how amazing your art is, but then I realise that yes, you must, because drawing and painting is “performance art”, and we all need the applause as well as the critiques. Thanks for this, Dan.
Thank you Jande 🙂 Yes drawing is indeed performance art. I like to work in coffeeshops actually and most of these were done in one, at least with the traditional portions. Thanks for the kind words!
Wow, this looks phenomenal. I love the glow on his back and the way his body kind of smokes away.
Leads a bike gang, huh? Pretty awesome place for a djinni to be.
