#2 Edwin Whipple
Edwin Whipple never understood why the land lady made him evict the tenants who skipped out on their rent. This Richard Greene creeped him out especially. The man that answered the door looked awful, especially his infected left eye. When Whipple gave him the bad news the man became violent and whatever was afflicting him took hold in the repair man’s flesh. The disease worked fast. The last thing he remembered was Greene telling him he didn’t have to die, then holding a toad that seemed to be affected by the same sickness up to his mouth.
#02 Papa Hertz
My first set of 10 characters are going to be set in America’s late 30′s/early 40′s time period. Lots of Swing music, art deco, greasy spoon diners, ritzy night clubs, gangsters, that kind of awesome stuff.
Bobbi’s boss, the owner of The Golden Cat Club. He insists that everyone call him “Papa Hertz” claiming he’s older than all of them anyway. An immigrant from Switzerland, he’s always seen wearing his grandfather’s suspenders as a lucky charm. (Mrs. Hertz says he even sleeps with them on.)
Papa Hertz treats his staff well (as long as they follow the rules) and pays them fairly. Morale among the staff is generally high in accordance with his jovial attitude and grandfatherly presence, but he has no tolerance for troublemakers or shenanigans within his establishment.
#2 Crackshot
Bio- Arianna Fletcher aka Crackshot, is the daughter of another “famous” marksman Aswin Fletcher aka Bow. Arianna was mostly raised in an eastern monestary where she did learn to be an excellent marksman with a bow, but after leaving at the age of 16 and moving back to the west she discovered guns. Having little direction in life, she became a hit-woman, and an assassin for hire. Taking the moniker “Crackshot” she became rather infamous, and sought after.
After years of assassin work, she was hired for the ultimate target, her father. When she failed to kill him, and was caught by him (and one of his allies) he told her who and what she really is. Aswin is a member of an immortal race of Genetants called Cruetalans, therefore she is half Cruetalan, and will live a VERY long time. There people are born with unique abilities which for Arianna allowed her to excel at her profession. He convinced her to stop taking of kill-for-hire work, and do something more “legitimate”. So, she became a vigilante for justice, and helped the weak, and helpless from criminals of the world.
Before, Crackshot was sought after for her hit-woman abilities, now, when criminals hear the name Crackshot, they fill with dread, and know, she never gives up til her “job” is finished.
#2 – Heldrin, the Dragonbound
Heldrin, a warrior who once went missing and presumed dead after chasing the dragon responsible for his town’s destruction emerged years later, changed in a mysterious and powerful way. In an ironic twist, he is somehow bound to the very creatures that ruined his former life. How did it happen, and why?
psssh, don’t ask me. I just draw.
#2 BumbleBoy
Don’t you just hate it when you see those little buggers flying at you and you’re afraid to get stung? Yes, I’m one of those people. But, as long as you don’t bug them, they won’t bug you! 😀
It’s hard to remember that though when you’re running from them. Hahaha!
#2 – The Post
Watch out for this stump. He’ll flip-flop on a friend in an instant. Sometimes he’ll save a goal, other times, he’ll help the puck get by the goalie. Don’t let a change of sport fool you. Post will show up in football and steal a field goal. He’ll show up in baseball and push a home run foul. He can be vertical, horizontal, red, white, yellow. The Post is very crafty. You can use him all you want, but NEVER TRUST THE POST!
#2 – HASSAN
Hassan –
Dating back to his rule in the 10th century Persia, Hassan was very cruel and his reputation preceded him with cruelty to anyone who opposed him. He even killed his two sons in order to never let them override his rule before or after his death.
Hassan was secretly killed by an assassin and replaced by a fake. Once in hell, he finds out that his twin brother Sabbat, organized his death and took over his kingdom.
In the 12th century, he was seanced back to life by a magician in order to take vengeance on his untimely death.
Since being cast to the darkness of evil, Hassan has made a pact with the forces of evil to bring chaos to modern civilization. With his return he now possesses incredible strength and some magical powers to cast evil over anyone in his path. One of his new magical powers allows him to become invisible for a short period of time and bring other demons into this world.
Hassan has gained an incredible amount of believers who have sided with him.
Deep down, Hassan is pure evil that can only be matched with the devil.
#2 Chester the pocketdragon
Today I’ d like to introduce Chester the pocketdragon to you. He belongs also to “Königreich der Welten” where he is the pet of Martina’s friend Fabian at the online game.
I was inspired by a beautifull picture of a Varanus salvator cumingi Martin.
As allready said Chester is a pocketdragon. A pocketdragon is at Germany a common in-time name for a pocket lighter at Live RPGs. So, I thought, why not take the name more seriously?
Chester was given to Fabian by a NPC when he decided to become an alchemist at the online game “Königreich der Welten”.The little dragon is sleeping most of the time inside a pocket of Fabian and is happy to help his owner whenever he is able to. As soon as Fabian gives a dragonstone to Chester he will grow and become more powerfull. The red sign you can see at the picture is at Chester’s belly and tells everyone that he belongs to Fabian and is able to breath fire.
The sign symbolizes a flame and a fox because at the game Fabian calls himself Ruben Vulpes, which means as much as “Red Fox”
I quite like the little Chester and hope some of you will too.
Ciao, till tomorrow
Day #1 – Axemillian McManus
Axemillian McManus – Known as “Axe” to his battle comrades, protected the main Kingdoms for many years. His battalion was decommissioned when the Kings reached an accord many years ago. Spends his time as a Security advisor to the Kings in all matters. Cannot be bought.
#1 – Sister Nina
Sister Nina is one of the five sisters at the nunnery in the Graphic Novel “the Naughty Ninja Nuns vs the Lesbian Biker Girls” She is a master of the throwing stars, which look like crosses with a star burst behind them.
NNN vs LBG is set in a world where most of the men have died and those that are left are little more then beasts. The women have had to take control in order to survive. Loosely based on the world of “Macho Women with Guns.”
#2 Squadron Leader Priscilla Vega
Lt. Priscilla Vega is the squad leader for Valkyrie Squad 4 in my upcoming webcomic http://www.valkyriesquadron.com. She leads an all-female team of four specially trained fighters, scientists, and pilots. Her specialty is weapons and combat strategy. Going by “Priss” for short, Priscilla is an otherwise good-natured, even toned person. She likes to have fun, but she doesn’t let her pursuit of good times get in the way of her duties (Most of the time…). Priscilla does well at keeping her emotions in check and keeping a cool head in a tough situation.
#2 – Morgan Ashdown
This was a fun opportunity to design Morgan Ashdown, a character from our webcomic In Absentia, which launches at the end of January. Here’s some info on the character that my writer gave me:
The Ashdown family has worked with the Academy’s founders for generations. Among the well-informed, Ashdowns are known to be uncannily long-lived, but the family is secretive enough to avoid close scrutiny. A popular tale, whispered among the students at the Academy, holds that the Ashdowns are actually immortal; a less popular, significantly more hyperbolic rumour claims that they sold their souls to the Devil in exchange for eternal life. Whatever the case, they do, indeed, live extremely long lives, and whenever an Ashdown passes away, it is generally understood that the family takes care of his funeral and burial, and no outside observers are permitted.
As the latest addition to the Ashdown line, and the heir to their secretive, jealously-protected medical and chemical research, Morgan’s studies at the Academy serve a specialized purpose: he is being groomed to serve as a professor there. For his part, the young man is content with his role. He enjoys his work, looks forward to utilising the Academy’s facilities for his research, and plans to spend his scientifically-prolonged life delving into the darkest mysteries of the human body. The fact that he will need to set time aside to teach children about drugs and poisons is a secondary concern, to his mind.
#1 Beatrice
The Victorian age was filled with woman who were proper, had wonderful manners, and great edict. But, for some, they felt as though they were in a room filled with people as they screamed at the top of their lungs. But, no one took the time to look up. For many woman, they lusted for independence.
That is how Beatrice felt. She wanted to be independent and do things on her own. She wanted to see the world. She wanted to see the sun set over the pyramids of Egypt, to ride the gondolas of Italy and drink the finest wine of France. She wanted to run away from the parents who only wanted to give her off for more money for their greedy gain. For when she was to turn 18…she was to be given to a stranger of another wealthy family in marriage…
#2 – Rose
Character was designed as an “extra” for a pool of background or random characters for my main webcomic, P.S.I.: A Pessimistic Sense of Inadequacy.
James
November 2nd, 1957: Residents of Levelland, Texas reported sightings of unidentified flying objects with bright lights. After the sightings, Jim Lee, head of the Interplanetary Space Patrol, predicted that the UFOs will soon come in large numbers for all to see and the skeptics will have no choice but to agree.
James was a huge nerd on his planet, saying humans really did exist. Through all the torment and torture from his fellow peers he decided to leave his planet and come to Earth. He was finally right, everything he thought was true. James put on his earthling disguise that he has worked so hard on and enrolled in school. Only to find out … he’s a nerd on this planet too.
#2 Franklin Blibble: Fluidic Bombardier
In the year 20xx, American chemists stumbled upon a synthetic fluid that was capable of holding consciousness. These Fluidic beings were soon harnessed to machines that could contain them, and be controlled by their hydraulic abilities. Humankind had finally realized the dream of creating life to use for menial labor. But of course, the Fluidics eventually rebelled against their masters.
200 years later, a continuously raging war has reduced both sides to a primitive twentieth-century level of technology.
Franklin is a bombardier in the Fluidic army who chafes in its role as faceless killer. Having spent its growing years near the border with Mexico, it had had contact with many humans – even having secret friends among the enemy ranks. In his heart he believes that the war is pointless, though to admit it would make him guilty of treason. So, he drops his bombs where they do little damage. Franklin’s squad ridicules it mercilessly, thinking it to be an incompetent fool.
#2 Billy Frakes
#2 – Thorn
Thorn was a scholar and adventurer in the late 1800’s.
He spent years at the University trying to locate an ancient artifact called the Orb of Glash. Legend said that he who touches the orb would receive three gifts. Magical powers to control the elements, immortality, and all the knowledge in the world.
After years of searching, he finally located the orb. He laid his hands on it and as promised, he was imbued with great magical powers, he became immortal, and he received all the knowledge in the world. But the knowledge was a curse! His ears could hear every voice on the planet, his mind captured every thought that came to anybody’s mind, and his eyes saw every vision that anyone saw. He nearly went mad from the unending bombardment of information.
Using his superior intellect he constructed a specially designed helmet to keep the noise out of his head. Now, trapped behind a metal facade, he spends his days using his magical powers to try to destroy the world so that he can once again emerge from his prison.
#2 Alien Finger
I am thinking that this alien is thinking.
You are thinking that this alien may be thinking about you.
I am thinking that you are thinking the same thing.
This alien is thinking “he who smelt it, dealt it.”
#2 Ulin’Dana
Believed to be one of the three First Sisters, Ulin’Dana is the Demiurge of passion, exploration and creation. Her nature as one of the inscrutable entities of the Demiurge is conflicting with her primal nature to explore and discover- this volcanic cavern is perilously close to the surface world, where a Demiurge is forbidden to physically dwell, for the lifeforms there can do more than feel her influence in emotions and dreams…
#2 Princess Lorne
Heir to the throne of the northeastern dominance of Hold, Lorne, as her friends call her, is cunning and wise beyond her 136 years. She attends court and most of the social events out of duty, but her passions and interests are in cultures and peoples apart from her own. Like most outer nobilities, the Fae in her lands are indentured to carry out the dominances desires, and Lorne was borne into this understanding. She knows there is a tension and that a delicate balance between the nobility and the Fae must be maintained else the dominance may fall into ruin as happened in the southern dominance of Ruel, who most call the forgotten land. That lost empire intrigues her, as do the strange new twins who’ve attended court the last few evenings during the night’s balls. Lorne’s whisperer, Chondra Flicker, suspects they come from Ruel, but that is hardly possible as none have come from that land in nearly six centuries.
Princess Lorne’s mother, the Dominatrix Quell Sirion, has had failing health for the last 500 years. Over the last year, the Dominatrix’s health has been on sharp decline, and the Princess has more than once stood in for her beloved ailing mother. Lorne’s father, the Dominar Vance Sirion, has not been seen since he marched with the third host to war just before the fall of Ruel. He is considered slain though none know what befell him or the host so long ago.
#2 – Elephantitis Ed
Elephantitis Ed is an older man, in his 60’s. He has HUGE BALLS. HUGE. They drag on the floor. He also has a very large growth on his neck that appears to connect his shoulders to his face. His superpower is the ability to wield his testicles like a wrecking ball.Â
This is one of five characters in a 3-page action/humor comic I wrote, called Terminally Super!, which is about four terminal patients wielding their illness-induced superpowers to save their hospital wing from the EVIL head nurse.
 Disclaimer: I’m a writer… i can’t draw.
#2 Tim Grant
From Lilly’s Blog
Despite being my age, I never talked much to Tim Grant growing up. His family owned the local record store at the end of Commons Street. They were nice folk and I knew them better than I did him. Most kids did, simply because that was the only place to buy music around here.
In school Tim and his friends kept to themselves. They were the local misfits, the group everyone assumed spent all their time behind the bleachers smoking a lot of pot and hating everyone. Not that Tim ever projected that attitude himself. He seemed a generally friendly person, just extremely shy and happy to let his friends be the loud ones. The one thing everyone did know about him was that he was easily the smartest kid in school. Funny enough, it was the nerds that hated him for constantly coming out on top in the honor rolls, despite no seemingly real effort (and all the aforementioned pot smoking).
His senior year of high school, a couple of particularly loud and excitable underclassmen, Christopher and Kristine Paley (cousins most commonly referred to as the Khrises… but we’ll get to them at a later date) decided to nominate him for Class President. My most vivid memory of Tim was the day he walked into school and found the hallways plastered with “Vote for Tim! He Rules The Rest Freakin’ Drool!†posters prominently featuring his face. I will never forget his look of absolute terror upon seeing them. Surprisingly, the look of terror was quickly replaced with one of anger, smoke practically shooting out of his ears as he ran towards the freshmen lockers screaming “Christopher! Kristine!†at the top of his lungs. No one had ever seen him upset, let alone furious. I believe that that’s the reason why, despite ordering the Khrises to tear down the posters and never showing up to the debates, he still managed to come in second place. His determination impressed the hell out of everyone.
Despite his stellar grades, Tim chose to forgo college and take over the family business. He loved that record store, he loved spending his time there, so why waste time and money on college if he knew he would just be doing this afterwards? His parents, happy and supportive, decided to give him complete control and eventually left Ephton Valley for a life by the beach in California.
Not content to just sell music, Tim renamed the store “The Disaster†and expanded to pretty much sell any and all types of pop culture media. He had a DVD section, a book section, a comics books section and so on. You name it, he had. And if there was something he did not have, he would find someplace to order it for you. No one in Ephton Valley had ever seen anything quite like it. Most small artsy towns like Ephton have access to high literature and museums but pop culture is hard to find. The locals find it “beneath” them. Tim’s friends embraced the store and it became their local hangout as much as it did a business. On weekends, after store hours, they began holding parties in The Disaster that ran late into the night. The townsfolk dubbed them all the Insomniacs.
I am only really just getting to know Tim Grant through our new mutual friend. But without him and his little store, a lot of people our age would either have to conform to the very specific model of adulthood Ephton Valley promotes or leave their hometown all together. We all owe him a debt of gratitude, even though he would be the last person to accept it. He’s just doing what makes him happy.

#2 Justice
In 1971, a lunar geological expedition conducted by the crew of Apollo 15 uncovered a small vessel of unknown origin. They brought it back to earth and after extensive testing, it was discovered to not be of lunar origin, but had landed on the Moon several centuries earlier. Strange markings on the vessel proved to be a sort of alien padlock, which was eventually cracked by government cryptologists.
Inside the vessel was more than 100 vials of organic matter, more specifically male reproductive cells. (Yup, we’re talkin’ alien sperm.) Exhaustive testing was done on the bio-matter, and it was discovered to have the ability to fertilize any mammalian eggs, the resultant offspring of which would contain the look and appearance of mother cells, but fantastic and superior abilities.
After creating (sometimes with disasterous consequences) hybrid alien rats, dogs, and chimpanzees, they fertilized a human egg, which was brought to term by a female corporal. Raised by the United States government, first as a convert military project, he eventually was allowed to go public as the super hero, Justice.
In a world of superpowered beings, Justice is by far the most powerful. He has no known weakness, except vulnerability to beings that share his alien DNA. The scar over his right eye, the lone blemish on his flawless physique, is a souvenir from stopping an escaped Tiger hybrid.
JUSTICE is one of the characters at the center of a graphic novel I’m itching to start working on. High concept, it’s Agatha Christie’s “Ten Little Indians†meets The Justice League. Essentially, it’s a superhero murder mystery, darker and more mature than some of the other stuff I’ve done. I’ll be looking for artist to co-create this project sometime next year.
Clearly going for the Superman archetype, I wanted a very clean, iconic design, but modern.
#1 Zeb G. Goose
Zeb is the little brother of the famous and fabled Gonzogoose! Gonzogoose helped raise the little tyke after Zeb’s father died when he was a kid. The two were very close… until Zeb hit puberty.
Now, Zeb is the bane of Gonzo’s existence! The two couldn’t be more different if they tried. Zeb is the everlasting conundrum that Gonzo can’t for the life of him figure out. But they’re brothers and they love each other and support one another. Well, Gonzo supports. Zeb games.
That’s right, Zeb is a gamer. Online MMORPGs mostly, from Worlds of Warfare to Dingos and Dragons, Zeb spends almost all of his time glued to the computer screen amassing gold or fighting bosses. The rest of the time is used for sleeping and eating and watching Anime.
Zeb has tried to be in bands and tried to be a skateboarder, but games won out over all that useless active crap. It’s much more rewarding getting the precious Sword of Izic, or some other nonsense like that.
Zeb’s close friends call him Zeeby, a name Gonzo is not allowed to utter lest he get popped upside the head with a Dr. Piper soda can, the drink Zeb is most addicted to and downs a dozen of a day. For, like, energy of course, to keep gaming!
Zeb also believes the world will end, not by fire or flood, but by zombie apocalypse. “Oh, it’s gonna happen.”
=======================
This is the first supporting character for my (eventual) webcomic strip, aptly titled “Gonzogoose”. It’s a character and name I’m known for across the internet, and the strip will be a humor strip loosely based on my life. This particular character is truly based off my little brother, so it makes perfect sense he’d be the first supporting character I create!
Eventually, the Gonzogoose strip will appear at the retooled www.gonzogoose.com. Currently, the site serves as my lettering and logo design portfolio, but it will be divided into three parts: Gonzogoose Productions, Gonzogoose Design and the Gonzogoose webcomic.
So there you have it, a little extra background on the inspiration of this character and more to come! HONK!
P.S. While I’m here, be sure to check out www.wannabezcomic.com. Updates every Tuesday and Friday! 🙂
#2 Charles, Detective of Purgatory City
Charles fell asleep on the banks of the river Styx, exhausted by the conundrum that had plagued his mind. No dead had come to be ferried. What or who Charles was prior to today didn’t matter now. There were questions that needed answers and Charles was just the person to find them.
That’s how he ended up in Purgatory City, a bustling noir-style cut out of 1920s America. In the city center a monolithic glass sky scraper that none seemed to know about. The dead still come, but they never moved on. Purgatory runs on the hopes, dreams, and anger of those who are not ready to move on.
This is where Charles took on the role of detective. Trying his best to figure out what had happen before while also taking on cases of those who cling to life still. His agency operates in the living and dead worlds. Thanks to a special coin paid to him long ago by a certain arch-angel, he is able to become human. Though when he uses it he enters the world just like any other human does, unclothed and screaming.
Far as Charles is concerned, he is still doing the job he always has, he is just doing it differently now.
(Based off an old story concept I have bouncing around my noggin)
#2 Nanneyo ra’Shuli
You’ll often find her frolicking in the campus arboretum Tuesday and Thursday mornings. She doesn’t have class until 1030 hours those days.

#30Characters Chatter…
